I have spondylosis and these exercises are exactly what my biokineticist prescribed (just in a different order and more fun sequence). In other words: if you have any doubts, I can tell you that these really help and are based in science!

I just wanted to take the time today to thank you for this video, Tim. This has been a part of my daily practice with a few McKenzie pattern exercises for my lumbar disc degenerative disease. It has been really helpful in the acute phases of the disease when I couldn't do the longer workout that you have shared. Needless to say a part of my everyday routine for nearly half a year now. Thank you so much for sharing!

Woah! I literally had a sprain in my lower back(not sure if it’s a sprain) but this really opened it up and eased it out. Additionally I used the foam roller for my back.

Hi Tim! Thanks for another awesome video.Your whole body approach to opening up the back is brilliant. In rolling the ear to the shoulder, I discovered how the tension in my neck and upper back relates to the achy stiffness of my lower back. Also, the foam roll stretch was a huge slice of heaven!. I am definitely going to hang out in that position for awhile today. I truly appreciate how you share your wisdom, knowledge and humor in these videos. Enjoy the day...

I haven't done any local in-person classes for a few years now. The only in person classes I do is when I host a retreat like I did last year in Bali. If you're on the e-mail list you'll know when I'm planning another retreat and maybe you can be with us then. 😊

This is my favorite practice for my low back pain. It has similar postures prescribed by PT and I prefer this so much more! Love the flow!

@@yogawithtim Thank you. I had been suffering from back pain for the last 2.5 years. I commenced the 30 day Yoga challenge and I'm seeing progress everyday with reduced pain when I bend down or lift anything. Keeping the rib cage low and exercising with lateral breathing has been a game changer. It's not only getting me stabilised on every level but also helping me in engaging the right muscles whilst preparing for bodybuilding competitions.

Nice stretch for my back! Just wanted to point out that 'psychology' is the study of the psyche/mind, so I think people would be using the 'mentality' of certain idea, instead of the psychology. But hey, thanks for a great session!

Great video, as always 🙂 I've noticed that my posture has become really bad with hunching shoulders and constant pain around my shoulder blades. May I ask which video of yours would you recommend to strengthen the muscles around that area?

Hey Tim! What you're saying about posture and back pain is so true. A few years ago, I started studying Alexander Technique and I learnt a lot of things about how the different parts of the body interact. It saved my low back. I can keep standing for hours now (during concerts for example) without ruining my low back. Maybe this technique can help others in addition of yoga. Thanks for today's video! It almost felt like a restorative day ;-)
