What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for RU-vid, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! Flax is used to make thread, which is used for flax cloth. Flax cloth was widely used in medieval Europe because it grew locally and easily.

The sickle mows better when you crouch. Don't buy fertilizer, just dung, you have a barn, you can turn it into fertilizer. I suggest you enable fast crafting and fast building, everyone knows how long it takes.

I think the actual coaching should be, don't get recruit person until you have all the stuff they need first. That way you don't get stuck in that kind of situation. LOL

When you go talk to Sambor and he wants you to dig up clay. You'll find wooden deer. If you collect them and talk to him again after the clay quest. He will give you another quest to try to sell them to a lady. Its kinda a pointless quest as when you are all done, she only offers to buy them for 1 coin each. If you tell her to leave and not sell them to her, you can lie to Sambor with 3 options. 2 of the options you'll loose coins, and gain 50-150 reputation, The 3rd option, you dont loose gold, and will gain 100 reputation. Then you can go and sell the wooden deer for 30 gold each.

I would suggest exploring the menus and crafting options fellow gamers as well as learning game mechanics for more fun. Tips. Can craft a bathtub and fill it with water to bath. Completing main quests increase building limit very easily. Its tied to your dynasty reputation as well. U can control what products your people consume via menus from food to typed of wood. If ur not prepared to give villagers food water, shelter in will be more difficult. Quicksave before accepting a quest if you dont like it. Some rewards can be really good though. Like iron level tools and weapons or technology points. Finally there is no pressure to rush your way through the game. Best of luck yall

Brie says 1. You get the super high level people from doing your wife's missions. Always do your wife's missions. 2. You can put down a washtub and put your near rotted stuff in it to help it rot faster.

You really should flirt with all the available female villagers, whenever possible. You get Diplomacy xp which will be helpful.

Compost bin for rot = fertilizer. Just put berries in the bin, next season rot. 10 rot for 1 fert. Don't buy manure, rot is free just plan ahead.

I would have kept a little bit of that flax stalk. That way you can make thread for the fishing huts spears and for bows. Also you could have used a water skin for the guys water. It holds only 4 drinks (i think) no worries tho.

You can buy two manure for much cheaper and craft it into fertiliser now you have the barn. Also it’s worth trying to find some abandoned camps and such as there’s heaps of bags and pouches and very useful stuff kicking about.

@YaDertyBint I see. It's still seems better than just buying the fertilizer out right. I personally use rotten barriers for my fertilizer and plant something in the sumer time. The money earned from sales might not be as much, but I don't spend anything to get started except on seeds. I just never paid attention to the skills, so I was unsure about it. Unless I am thinking of something else, your skills also go towards all of your workers. So getting things like quicker crafting helps your community keep up with demand. Pretty sure anyway.

If you look in the forest, youll find ansndonbed camps. These can have waterskins and buckets. Also, towns have items tou can steal, but only do it laaaaaate at night when everyone's sleeping and watch out for the patroling villager. The travelers at the campfire wont see you if it's late enough. You lose rep if people see you stealing.

To get water early on you don't need buckets. Make or buy water skins. Fill them in the river then put in his house storage he gets water.

You can get rid of the well to help with your building limit issue. You can fill buckets in the river. Well is sort of useless unless an NPC is working it.

You could buy a waterskin and fill it up at the well. Then you drop it in the storage chest at that workers storage chest.

Go to the Island north of your town and on the west side, you should find a nice bag of stuff. It is a seasonal event, so if it is not there when you first look, check next season. Also check around the bridges on both side of them, you can find some nice stuff sometimes. Have a Great one!!!

When looking to flirt and cant find anyone.. its a quick 1min swim across river to another town. Also the brown icon next to your HP/stats circle shows you were dirty (brownish icon). *Fyi to those watching

Get the hunting lodge up and you can make a bow and arrows. Remember, you need linen thread made from the Flax stalk from a Semester in this game. Then you can make the bow. : )

so i just started myself and ive been making more money off stone knives because its faster to source the materials and craft over other things. made 6k in winter whilst nothing to do and been making them in between walking from town to town, just pick up stones and sticks till cant carry anymore - craft as many as you can and repeat until you hit the town.

U can control all that. Explore the menus to control what products villagers consume, from food types to wood. I love Kage but a lack of understanding in game mechanics is obvious in this playthrough. No offense. Villagers will burn in order: Firewood, logs, planks and sticks. Kage village was not prepared to house inhabitants. But it's just a game

I usually make a few stone knives on way to town, and buy a bucket as the first thing. And then until i have a food storage, i fill the bucket, and put in their house storage along with some food. Also buckets hold 10 units of water.. Way better than water skins

@@Kausten yeah true. I forgot you cant easily craft water skins. If you explore around the map, you'll find both water skins and buckets to use. I just somehow always find water skins and use those to start with
