Day 5 - Relaxing Yoga | RISE & SHINE YOGA CHALLENGE ☀️

Welcome to Day 5 of the Rise & Shine Yoga Challenge! ☀️
A gentle slow flow class with deep stretches to help improve flexibility. We will begin by consciously tuning into the breath before moving into a seated warm up of cat/cows and neck stretches. Open the chest and shoulders with thread the needle and melting heart pose. Stretch the hamstrings and hips with rag doll, low lunge, side bends, lizard and wide legged forward fold. Slow down the mind with long held stretches of head to knee pose, revolved head to knee and double pigeon. Enjoy the final few minutes of class in reclined butterfly or savasana.

Beautiful practice. I love how soothing your voice is and the music was also very relaxing. I appreciated a lot the moments of silcence even though it’s a guided practice, it really allows me to concentrate and focus, and unfortunately it’s not that common to find videos like this on RU-vid. Beautiful, really needed this! Do you have an alternative for double pigeon? My knees hurt a lot while doing it.

You can extend your bottom leg straight and cross your other leg on top so there’s less intensity - you’re just working one hip at a time. Half pigeon is another alternative you can use 🙏

Also be sure to keep your feet active in the stretch, flexing the feet will take away a lot of the pressure in the knees

Are there any plans to make a version of the app for laptop / computer? I don't usually watch my yoga videos on the phone, but I would definitely purchase this app if I could play the videos on a laptop. Thanks!

Hey, this feature is already available in the app :) when you choose the class you want to play, click the button with the three dots and select ‘play on computer’! There will be instructions for a URL or QR code - hope this helps 🙏

Exactly what i needed this morning, being rather achy and moody while on vacation and having done a lot of walking on sand near the seaside the last days. So happy I decided to get back to a practice, not being at home I kinda lost touch with my routine and what my body needs

If there’s such a thing as a perfect yoga video, I nominate this one, Jessica. The workout completely matched the expectations set forth by the title and the poses were wonderful! Beautiful practice and I popped a block under my upper back for the last butterfly pose! Gorgeous! How in the world do you do sitting pigeon though?! 😳I had to do it with the leg underneath straight. 💚
