Waking up early to make it to the top of Sonora Pass for sunrise was totally worth it! It might be just the most beautiful sunrise I’ve ever seen! The wind, snow, and the orange glow all working together to take my breath away. God must of been in his studio painting that morning. Made it to Kennedy Meadows North and showered. 10/10 recommend Sonora Pass!

As a Mom with mostly grown children (21 & 16) I love that you said "I'm staying safe for my Mom because I love her". I know she appreciates it! ♥ And I know she's proud of you for making good choices!

I’m a life time Californian. I’ve camped and hiked all over the Sierra. Our favorite place to camp is one mile east of Sonora Pass (dispersed camping) sooooo quiet! I can’t imagine getting to Tuolumne Meadows, planning on a burger, and the grill being closed!😮 I’ve enjoying following your adventure!

Great views. Doing that stuff solo there’s that always that worry. Thank goodness for zoleo/garmin. You had no problem. 👍🏼🥾

I would have been SO MAD that the water is turned off at seven minutes!!! What an insult and especially after everything is so FREAKING expensive!!!!!!! Snarl. Glad you negotiated your scary moment well, good job!

Holy cow...I'll bet you've never felt more alive than you did sliding down that hill.

You sort of need to slide once out of control on the snow to really appreciate that once you're moving, the poles are useless and just dangle behind you. Been there, done that, pretty scary!

Your ‘slide’ reminds one of John Muir’s adventure in which he rode an avalanche in Yosemite, all the way down, & coming to no harm.
