I think Julius has found a friend....perhaps the only "friend" he has ever had. This has been a wonderful series; a remarkable series.

Out of all the horse trainers I have watched Camille is by far the best! She works with horses like my grandma taught me. I worked at a horse camp and it was very different, I didn't agree with the way they did things. I showed my grandma Camille's channel and now she loves her!

He's such a puppy dog in love with you! No one could guess he was feral a month ago! I'm with your camera person. I don't think I could not have taken advantage of the 'offered response' to lie down when you tried picking up his leg the first time. I don't think that you will have any difficulty teaching him anything. His trust in you is a delight to watch as you go about 'breaking' a wild horse. As much as I love to see them running free, there is just so much grazing to be had and without people like you showing what can be done with the 'extras' removed from the wild, a whole lot more would end up as dog food or on some European table.

Awww. I love Julius. Totally different from my mare, so Im not constantly reminded of her passing. We only have 14 acres, but permission to ride on hundreds of acres on either side of our property. Ask him if he wants to visit. lol.

You & Julius are amazing! I can't believe how smart & willing to please he is. I'm sure it has a lot to do with you! Years ago I bought a 4 yr old Palomino Quarter horse that had never been ridden. He was a very willing to please horse that had been haltered & led. I used many of your methods to train him to the saddle & riding. I watched John Lyons videos because I had no clue what I was doing. I did it by the book & took my time & it went perfectly. Lived horses but hadn't owned one until then.

@CamillesMustangs

Young horses adapt very easily and learn quickly, I would definitely not consider this a lot of pressure for him. For another horse, yes it might be too much, but not for Julius

I used to take riding lessons when I was a teenager and I really wish they would have taught us more about how the horse is communicating and not just for us to communicate what we want. I've learned so much from your videos about how horses think! I used to find them kind of unpredictable but I can see that's just because I didn't know how to read them properly.

He's such a good boy. What do you do if the horse keeps trying to walk off? Also, both of mine try to lay down off and on when I pick up their front feet, but because I need a new knee I keep falling on my face and losing the hoof. I don't do it often because it's so hard to end on a good note. They both let me trim their hooves in June while they were lying down, but it takes several days since I have to be extremely careful or they'll just get up and leave.

When you’re training mustangs what are the signs that the horse is ready to go into a pen or pasture with normal heighted fencing (as in like 4 FT to where they won’t jump out)
@CamillesMustangs

If they are easily caught and not spooked by much. They must be really comfortable in their environment

Wouldn't it be simpler to cut his tail "short" to remove the brown and letting it grow out nice and white again? I know that's what I would do personally but I don't know if there is a reason you'd prefer not to.

I've heard a mix of vinegar and baking soda will get rid of yellow stains in tails. Matt harnacke did it with his Shetland pony "bear" and it worked great. Might be worth trying

Why do you make that clicking sound for everything when you wanted to pick up his foot ' when you want to back up when you want him to stand still every single time you wanted to do something it's the same clicking sound isn't that confusing to a horse
@jadeblanchard9995
@jadeblanchard9995 3 года назад
I believe it's to catch the horses attention. Or to tell them that you want something from them.
