Just out hiking working on getting in shape for this fall. Going to try and hike some trails in the north cascades. I attempted to make some simplex contacts on the summit today but sadly no one came back to me on 146.5200. I was actually very surprised. Usually there is a fair amount of activity on the call channel. I guess a Saturday summer afternoon isn't the best time for ham radio. I did bring up plenty of repeaters. The Alinco paired with the Nagoya NA-24J works excellent.
