Just fitted one of them Mira sport air boosts the other day for the first time and as soon as you fitted the hose onto the connection I chuckled to myself thinking he ll have to take that off again to put the cover on cos I done exactly the same thing 😂 everyday you learn something new , never gets boring in our trade , keep up the videos mate 👏 great viewing as always
There’s always a drain to make your day, hope they appreciated your efforts, never the nicest plumbing job 💩 but as we say here in Yorkshire “where there’s muck there’s brass” 💵 good true to reality vid as always, hope your staying safe 👍
Came here from BigClive! Not sure I'd stake my life on the opinion of a non-contact voltage sensor, especially in a wet place with metal frames around it. Those buggers aren't fail safe and when they don't light up, it means either the tester is faulty or the power is off. Could be either.... :-( Those horrible cheap water heaters used to have plates in them to limit the flow... that's how they controlled the output temperature of the water. They used to get full of crap, then they wouldn't adjust properly, just red hot or freezing cold. Not sure if that's the issue here. but cleaning and descaling them, as I used to do, could save a lot of money, and space in the landfill if that's still what happens. I suppose they didn't improve the design, as it generates more sales...?
Haha....you have an exhaustive amount of knowledge lol I went to a blocked shitter and found further down the the soil pipe in the main kitchen there were boss pipes with 1 1/2” pipes stuck straight through like fkn kerplunk 😂😂😂 head to foot in the brown stuff ...I wanted to die lol
Drains are a thing of beauty ain’t they lol. Even better when you get one that was bodged by a builder of yore who threw up an extension and altered the waste stack so it was almost inaccessible.
If you isolated the shower at the isolation switch it wouldn't trip anything. The switch is a double pole. It cuts the live and the neutral. If you were to of isolated it at the consumer unit and touched the live with the CPC (earth) it wouldn't of tripped either. Simply because the breaker is switched off. But if it was protected by an RCD touching the neutral with the CPC/earth it would of tripped the RCD.
Another good one Doc........Being a Plumber is always great fun, such a diverse range of Skills. Ah, some may say ‘OMG.......how can you do your job’??!!! I always say ‘ Your shit is my bread & butter’!! 💷💷💷💷💷💷💷 Thanks Doc👍👍
You are meant to check polarity before and after.....and obviously prove its dead before you lick it. So if there are any newborn plumbers watching....please do it right. There are a lot of amps running through a shower and if there is no MCB or rcd it's fried plumber for tea. This guy is really experienced and has used his volt pen and knowledge.
I used to go to some maintain a property with toilets like in the first shot - except MUCH WORSE - I used to put extra on the bill because I had to work beside it !! - NO need for filth a toilet brush is £1 at asda !!
If it's a communal drain I'm pretty sure if 2 or more households have a problem seven trent will come out to clear it. I try to stick to gas and electrics. Leave the poo to the plumbers 🤗. Thanks DrPipe. 👍
Uh oh! Yer dint wrap summat around the shower waste. Now, you do know what would have happened if you dropped a screw, don't you? My rods have been out twice this week. Betcha can't guess what non-dissolvable items folks are flushing? Rhymes with pace tasks. ;-)
You was rodding the wrong way when you done the slow motion. You could tell by what way the spur was coming in. Thats the easiest way to tell what way the drain is running
I want to do a plumbing course in colllege and i would like a nice car do you think i will be able to get it? As in is it well payed when you have your own business. Also did you promote your business at first? Thanks, Oscar
You don't seem to get the S**t end of the stick to often, but when you do it's Dr. Pipe to the rescue. Stay Safe. P.S. Great to see you posting more often.
Well Doc what's the story have all the gas boiler men been told by corgi to stop putting up videos of boiler repairs and the like just wondering 🤷♂️👨🔧
I’m always £120 call-out & £80/hr thereafter for a Blocked Drain. My set of Drain Rods cost me £12 30years ago, they clear most drains😉😉😉 They’ve made me a fortune over the years👍👍👍👍. Lefty morons telling kids they need a Uni Degree, what ballocks!! Get them a Plumbing apprenticeship & they’ll make a fucking fortune!!!
Yuck .....was about to eat my fish and chips. Poo soup and rather you than me. The last time I took a unblocked sink job the customer failed to inform me that he had used about a litre of sulphuric acid to dry and clear it....it melted my snickers and I wasn't best pleased and never touched one again
