Same here. Where exactly do you plan to go? I don't want to go to a big-city necessarily, but all of the people I have been connecting with via Facebook mostly live somewhere near Tokyo. I'd love to live somewhere in the southern half, I heard Okinawa is really laid-back.

My son who lives there in Okinawa showed me the trick with freezing the rice in portions. I cook 5 cups of rice in my rice cooker and with my 5 oldest grand sons come over they love taco rice and I never have any left over rice. Always have to refill my stock in the freezer. I also put the portions in plastics wrap then so many portions per gallon freezer bag.
Now that's smart. Me and my daughter love rice and we have a small rice cooker. Maybe three cups worth. We eat it all up in one sitting though. But then we're too lazy to cook rice again the next day. Maybe I could make one batch for dinner, and the other batch for freezing. Do you use freezer bags?
Great idea on freezing the leftover rice in portions for future meals...we do that too. Also, yes Okinawa gets hot and very humid. Don't bring leather products there...they will turn green in your closet. Small price to pay for living in paradise.
4:03 the trick to putting a mask on one-handed is to hold the mask between your lips a bit.😁 I discovered the unique history of the Riku islands and the Okinawan a couple of years ago and it is my dream Destiny to go to Japan. Ok now is at the top of my list. If I am not able to settle there, one of the Southern prefectures. Looking forward to following you. I have so many questions.

Depends on what you mean. Vegetarian options are hard to find, but overall all the food is much healthier than in America because it's not processes. Because of that though, you'll find yourself at the grocery store every other day since the food goes bad fast too. 😅 5. Tokyo cost about $120 round trip is what I'm seeing right now.
