Today I'm sharing a summer sunday in my life! This weekend we went back to the farmers market and I'm showing everything that I ate with all of the delicious homemade food we picked up. I feel you on the social situations, it’s been tough for me too for this whole panoramic. Because I deal with anxiety myself, so any and all support through this tough time is great. Yes a Heath but clam chowder would be great to see and have in my food repertoire. Plus watching your videos are super great thanks.

I'm an introvert but I still 100% relate to needing to get out. I really struggled with never being able to leave in the middle of the pandemic, especially in a very small confined space. I love just being able to get out.

I totally get how you feel Nikole. Covid has really changed our lives and not for the better. I miss going out to different venues in especially in the summer. When the gyms and restaurants last winter were closed and the malls were closed I was getting such anxiety not being able to go places, and see friends and family. I hope things will get better soon. Hang in there Nikole. Just know how much we love your channel and that you are making a difference and helping us to live better, healthier, productive lives.

I’m exactly the same way in terms of missing social gatherings. Thankfully, this year I’m back at work physically so that’s definitely helping. But I feel you, it’s a tough situation to be in.

First time mom hear too and its been tough. I have a 7 month old daughter and now thinking I want to have another baby, partly so I can experience being pregnant and having a baby outside of a pandemic and also because I now see how it really does get easier and more fun as they get older. 6 months felt like a game changer for me and being able to really enjoy the days rather than feeling I just need to survive them. Love watching you and Sage, its fun to see what things are yet to come for us!

Were in our 12th week of harsh restrictions in Sydney, Australia. I have a 3 month old and it's been one of the hardest times not being able to have the support you need as well as celebrating your new baby with your family and friends. Extrovert or introvert it's such an unnatural way for us humans to live...so closed up from everything, basically in hiding. I like that you find projects to do and are positive overall...one of the main reasons I watch your videos 😊 you've helped me a lot throughout my own journey with my bub. ❤ much love from Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺

Fellow Sydneysider here. It’s so tough with kids no matter their age. We’re homeschooling and the kids are struggling without school, sports and family and friends. I can’t imagine how hard it is with a newborn 😔

I completely get where you’re coming from. We’re currently in the toughest lockdown since the pandemic started in Sydney, Australia. We haven’t been able to see anyone for 13 weeks. The kids are homeschooling and missing the social aspect of life too. I really hope things get better worldwide and life goes back to something more normal.

I’m from UK and we are almost back to a new normal. It was soooooo hard being in a lockdown. I feel like I was a different person, but we got out of it. I don’t know the situation in Canada at the moment, but even if you don’t know when it will finish, everyday is a day closer to getting to a new normal. I’m not saying wish life away but this way of thinking helped me remember it’s not forever, as that’s how I was feeling. You have had a life change and a world change all in one. It’s pretty big to deal with all that and your doing amazing. Things will get better soon ❤️ Sage is so gorgeous too 🥰.

OK Sage with her teddy bear is a whole other level of cutness😂😍. As for favorite soups, that's a hard one, I love a good clam chowder too, but I would say a good broccoli cheddar hits the spot just right too. 😂 You and Matt make great parents, one can tell Sage is well loved and cared for. I havent watched the entire video yet but just had to pause to comment! I 100% am feeling how you are feeling! It's funny because I never considered myself an extrovert but found myself relating to everything you were feeling so maybe I am an extrovert or at least an ambivert. I loveeeee being outside and meeting new people as well as being in group gatherings but also love my me time but have noticed that some days I dont feel my best and you've made me realize how much I used to go out and always had plans but now with a new baby and on top of that the pandemic I havent been out much or seen many people. I feel you about the birthday. We did not have a baby shower and it's something we would have loved to have to look back on. Regardless it's always nice to know we're not the only ones feeling a certain way! Enjoy seeing your vlogs. In a way it feels like we are hanging out with you! Xoxo

I completely understand what you're going through. I had my son right when the lock down happened in the US. I went in one day and came out to a new world where you couldn't even find diapers for your babies. It was traumatizing and so scary. I had to celebrate our sons 1st birthday alone due to the ristrictions. The whole situation took a toll on my mental health and even now things are getting okay, but still it's going to take time to get back to normal. It's unfortunate but we are all grateful for the things we have. Keep moving forward that's all we can do at this point. ❤️❤️❤️

I completely get you with being at home. I'm an extrovert and a super social person! However I had my first baby in the pandemic, he's now nearly 11 months. The pandemic has given me super anxiety about being ill so I feel trapped in a state of wanting to go out and be with people but being scared of getting Covid. It's so frustrating. My son's first birthday is coming up and I want a party but feel weird about it. I love your videos they really help ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My favorite soup is Butternut squash apple soup. I feel you about social gatherings. I was scared of going out in public after a trauma, so I isolated myself in my appartement for a year before covid started. So I've been isolated for 3 years, I don't have children or a boyfriend so it's been hard...I miss going out freely and at peace...

Im a soup eater and making it every week no mater if its hot or cold outside. Let me share my favorite beet salad recipe. Roast beets and grate it. Shred some red cabbage Red onion chopped and garlic Add some mayo, salt and pepper mix really good and enjoy Can also add green peas

I just had a thought I figured I'd share... I know everyone has their own tactics to dealing with the C word, and there is no right or wrong way to do what's right for you... But, if you are starting to feel a little more comfortable about having a gathering, maybe for Sage's 1st bday, do the party you've been dreaming of and anyone else who is comfortable can share it with you guys and if someone isn't comfortable that's ok to... It's ok to start to live normal again... IF that's what's best for you guys... I feel like some people are starting to want to live a little less scared but are afraid that others will judge them.... Just wanted to encourage you to do what feels right for you and Sage... Does that make sense... I really hope this didn't offend anyone. 😘

Oh Nikole, I can totally relate! I related with you when we were both pregnant in regards to hospital tours and classes (which was a no-go d/t the pandemic) :( So I totally feel you on your little one’s birthday coming up. I don’t think it’s selfish at all, but I do feel like we had to sacrifice a lot of our “expectations”’ versus reality of what we wanted our first pregnancy to be filled with! I think in time things will start to normalize and we can gather with normal outings again! I also got some reason crave sweets A LOT and Indi think it’s the breast feeding 😂 I mean I don’t go overboard but before pregnancy I could go days without sweets or even want to eat them. But with breastfeeding I feel like I need something sweet once a day, even if it is just 1 cookie lol I hope things get better soon, and you’re so right, we all create our own happiness 💕

Were those giant butter tarts??😍 I can't find them in the U.S. Can you guys not have big gatherings yet? 😳If you can move to Florida, do it. We have well water. There is a faucet in the ground nearby that flows deep in the earth continually. Water is pure.

yassss the “good soup” chain 😂. also, i heard that if you get your period, it affects the breast milk and it’ll tastes “sour” to the baby. and i also heard if you don’t breast feed in the middle of the night, it can also lower your milk supply. i thought i should let you know. 😊

Girl, I get it. I have summer fomo every year. It’s weird. I like, want to cram in all the things.... even though I did do some of the summer things. I think it’s because it’s over and I’m like, wait, did summer pass me by?! But then, fall arrives and then there’s all the fall things and I’ll go through it all again at the end of fall. Lol. We’re all a mess, so you’re totally not alone. The world is just, ugh. 😑

My Berkey filter is the best! Just be mindful of cleaning it well and priming the filters as needed. I can’t drink tap water anymore 😂😂

When did you get your period back postpartum? My daughter will be 13 weeks tomorrow and I just got my period back today and I think it's because she's been sleeping 8+ hours through the night now! I've been also pumping to keep supply up :)

I don’t really have a favorite soup because I’ve always felt like soup is never substantive enough to fill me up and I’m always hungry around 90 minutes later. So I usually skip soup and eat other things. I must be doing it wrong because so many people are obsessed with soup, but I’ve never found it to be that spectacular.
