Jade can I just say that I really appreciate your drive to learn about other people it's so refreshing to see how interested you are in other people, cultures and countries. It shows how much of a loving and caring person you are cause you need to understand that not everyone is like you. You make these people so happy by learning about who they are and where they come from. You and I both know that nowadays people are being shamed for eating different food, listening to different music and wearing different clothes and you make them feel good about being different. You're such a wonderful person. much love from the Netherlands
Yet how many people are willing to learn about and celebrate her culture? Your ending statement was also completely unsubstantiated and ironic considering how Jade is clearly a minority there, she is the 'different' one.
@@Miquelalalaa Woow why are you so angry, calm down. She's in America which is a predominantly white country, Im sure they're eating enough 'white' food and dressing in a 'white way' whereas Ethiopean food for example is far less common there. She's pretty much around her own culture, I live in Holland and if Im in France I still feel like it's the same culture, slightly different yes. But you cant compare someone who came from Ethiopia to someone who came from Britain. And your point about 'willing to learn about her culture' this doesn't even matter at all because I never said that she wasn't allowed to celebrate her own culture she should and everyone should be proud of their own culture and where they come from. Yet I feel that nowadays people are just focused on who they are and think that what they eat or wear is normal and that other people their cultures are weird and wrong. I was just praising her for not listening to that and her trying to learn about other people, what's wrong with that.
this made me smile 🌻 god i know how insanely lucky i am to even get to be here. so important to remember gratitude when the amazingness of everyday loses its novelty. hope there's something you can feel genuinely grateful for today!! xx
Loving this new hectic and fun editing, the music is also a good edition. I’m happy that you seem to be having fun and also, if you’re having any doubts, just know you don’t have to be perfect..it’s all about the experience and the life skills that you learn
I APPRECIATE YOU SO MUCH bless you 🥺 I feel like I've been failing on the RU-vid/social media front so much recently. Just being more distant 🤷♀️ but thank u thank u thank u x
@@UnJadedJade don't worry about it! I'm super proud of you and I really look up to you, I'm sure everyone else does too. We're all super supportive and we want you to enjoy your life. Xxx
Fun fact! One of my friends told me that a reason why spelling is so different in America compared to Canada for example, is because of the newspaper. Back in the day, it would cost more money per page based upon the letter count. So the publishing companies would find shortcuts to certain words and remove letters that weren’t necessarily needed. For example: Colour would change to color Labour would change to labor Armour would change to armor Etc... I’m not sure if that story is entirely true, but I found that story interesting :)
Im still in two minds about this university you are attending. But you seem happy and i like seeing that, its great seeing someone doing what they love.
lunarcentauri it's weird haha I agree because of where I'm from, but actually etymologically speaking pants is correct becuase it's short for pantaloon, it eventually got shortened to pants a couple of hundred years ago, then the word Underpants came about which then itself got shortened to pants. So the americans are technically correct
Reminds me of the time an American friend loudly announced she desperately needed new pants, in the middle of a British high street. Shout out from the UK. It’s still freezing.
It's amazing watching how much of a great time you're having! Especially when you flashback to how nervous you were when backing. I'm so happy for you!
Wearing earrings so that people focused on those instead of my tired face saved me so many times and I wanted to tell other people about this tip but didn't know how so thank you for doing that😂😂
I love you so very much Jade!! So proud of you, and I’m happy that you’re happy with all your wonderful new friends. Making new friends is a challenge at times, and I’m happy you’ve made really good ones. Study smart and honestly, love your videos!! Can’t wait to see more ❤️
Makes me so happy to see other people happy, like I presume you're feeling now, keep being grateful for such amazing experiences you are having right now ❤️
It's been quite a while since I last saw your videos, and your style has changed so much since you've started university. I really like the new format! I also really like how much you're enjoying the whole experience. ❤️
Jade just wanted to say that you are my fave RU-vid ever and I'm so grateful that ive founded your channel ! you have no idea how much your videos have helped me to grow as a student and a person in general ! love u
You look like you're having the most amazing time. No doubt the work is hard and will get harder but everyone is supporting you no matter what! Goodluck Jade
Haha, as a fellow Brit that reminds me of a few years ago when I did a bit of CSS and having to spell 'color' and 'center' would always kill me a bit inside ;)
American families generally do not decorate their homes until the end of November because they observe Thanksgiving--pilgrims, turkeys, football. And no, Christmas trees are not part of Thanksgiving. But shops want to sell, sell, sell so they put out stuff earlier and earlier. In my town, there are no Christmas decorations up right now except at the stores and malls.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I hope I can be as free with people as you are. I loved the spontaneity of the day, and loved how you guys looked like you genuinely enjoy each other's company. I love how beautiful the city is, love that you try your best everyday and find casual magic even in this stressful season of work, and of course I love the camera quality and editing❤. Stay strong and have fun, Jade. I'm looking forward to your next video. Also, please say hi to Ada for me! (I'm also from Nigeria)
these videos are really giving me the vibe of girlguiding/scouting trips that I've been on in terms of meeting new people and the community energy, it's so interesting!
This notification popped up whilst I was just watching one of your study with me 😂 You bet I’m going to take a ‘break’ from revising to watch this vid 🙃💕
You look so happy and excited about your life right now! Love the videos. I have a cafe recommendation for you in SFO!! It's called Good Luck Cafe & Deli, 621 Kearny St. Sooo good! Enjoy 🤩
I got to visit the HQ last week because my sister (Kay) is there this semester and watch Esther's talk. It was so amazing to see the kind of community that you guys have (I thought about saying hi but you seemed really busy). Such a cool experience!

Watching this in 2020 and literally gasped when I saw you two were walking outside without masks on.... hopefully one day we can do this again! thankful for your videos that always brighten my day no matter when I watch them! 💖🦋
ohhhh jaddeeee i miss the energy you give. your content is the best out there. you know oprah said once that she used her show for good. you do the same with your youtube channel. good vibes beautiful people !!!
Just a quick tip for you babe, for your Mac charger go to an Apple Store and buy the world travel adapter kit, it’ll probably be about $30 but it has adapters that fit into your Mac charger for lots of different countries around the world including the US. Love your videos you’re so inspirational hope you’re enjoying Minerva💗💗💗💗
It's by no means perfect, honestly!! It's such a good Q; coming late made adjusting especially difficult because i missed the orientation week. Thank god for my gap year setting me up to be okay with uncertainty and flexibility. The most important thing here is establishing priorities!! To me, getting to know people is always a priority, as is seeing the city and looking after myself just as much as doing well academically. A big adjustment has been accepting lower grades/being less prepared for seminars in return for better social relationships 🦋 yeyyyy i'm still a wreck ngl, still juggling! But I do love it x
I would be super interested in a « what’s in my backpack » video because I also like to study in public spaces and never really know what to take with me.
