I'm a software engineer living in Auckland New Zealand. At the moment I manage a team of engineers in a fintech company. This is a how I started the year while most people were still on annual leave. A quite day in the office. :)
I'm a fresh graduate of Mechanical Engineering field & I'm interesting about coding and software engineering field. can you suggest what path will I take for becoming a software engineer?
@@IsuruPalliyaguru By the way, you mentioned you were hiring in the video but I didn't see any vacancies on your company website. Do you have any SWE positions currently available, particularly in frontend development?
Hey mate, I live in auckkand and currently studying html css js. I am wanting to know what languages are active in today's jobs. what language do you use at work and how did yiu get job. Luke.
Hey Luke, Nice to see a comment from a fellow Aucklander. At the moment I use TypeScript. TypeScript is really good for both backend and frontend web development. But I've used several languages in the past. Hope this helps :)
I have a video on this topic. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WGG2mzBb8mk.html hope it helps. If not as your questions here I’ll see if I can do another video 🙂

can please give me a reply I have a confusion currently I am pursuing mechanical engineering 3rd year students I has taken a lateral entry in B.E mechanical engineering after diploma now I want to take lateral entry to cse branch at L.P.U University it will affect the placement in cse branch because it will be considered as 2 year gap. So please provide me a good suggestion for a good excellent future. Thank you in advance
I'm not sure how your University works and subjects they offer. So you will have to ask them about it. If you want to study computer science I will highly encourage it :)
I studied Physical science (mainly mathematics) in University of Colombo then I did another degree in computer since in Unitec NZ. I also have a diploma in IT 😁 but you don't really need all of that to become a software engineer.
man i wonder what programming languages ill learn in the future currently im 13 and know lua c# python and javascript (beginner) and i just cant help but wonder what ill learn by the time i get to college
If you are 13 already use 3 languages I wouldn't worry about what to learn when you are in college. Focus on learning the basics and first principles. Language is just a tool and after you learn one it is easy to learn any language. Good luck :)
