As a long time sports fan, I grew surrounded by college and professional sports, played competitive soccer for much of my life, and saw many of my friends go to college on sports scholarships. In many ways, it has been a small dream of mine to marry the world of sports with my career in medicine. The UCLA BrainSPORT Sports Neurology fellowship seeks to do exactly that by training neurologists specifically trained to handle traumatic brain injuries, concussion rehab, CTE, and performance enhancement. In the heart of Los Angeles, this program allows members to conduct state of the art research with virtual reality and some of the world's best athletes.
