If you want to find this gentleman he is on 9 Al Suq Street close to the Old Souk abra station . Tell him the BBC filmmaker says hi! www.google.com.ph/maps/@25.2639318,55.2920883,3a,75y,178.32h,91.2t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1soEAzGyxse_yHgzLp4IYnTw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
He is not nice at all he said it is waste of money to go to the mosque what kind of Muslim is he how can he say such a thing so money is more important than Allah who give the u the money wow this is so sad
At least we Emiratis work hard but also in a different way , he has his shoe repair business and we may have investments for instance. But some people who are foreigners come and live in the uae and get money buy either youtube or begging Emirati friends for money.(like mo vlogs)
There are a lot of those, especially in all of the Emirates but Dubai Dubai and to an extent Abu Dhabi tend to be the luxuriously spending cities while the rest stat humble
You'll be surprised to know that the "rich" people of Dubai are a minority. What u see in Dubai (sky scrapers, hotels, resorts etc) are occupied by like 10-20% of the population. Just drive for 20-30 mins outside of there and you'll see the real Dubai. You'll see hardworking south Asians who built this country day after day living in poverty. Its sad but its true...
XZoro X lol were scums then why do they come to us from their countries are their countries scummier than us we treat them with respect we pay them and we give some free rooms and free electricity so please check before calling us scums
Bro this not poverty.... Arabian people are crazy ... they don't provide passport easily to other countries' s people.if anybody got the don't provide the facilities.they pay less money to worker.they paid like £200 in a month. As a Muslim I don't like Middle East . They just using Asian people.as a none Muslim countries I think Usa 🇺🇸 and Uk Canada etc best. They pay equal wages to everyone. Doesn't matter where you from....same rules for everyone. Same justice for everyone Lots of love to Usa .uk . Europe etc...without Middle East
subhanallah, despite his low income and poverty i think he has a very high income with allah u can see his face full with honesty and trustworthiness masha allah may allah grant u more ease n your life mr
yes many rich people are comitting suicide because they have no motivation to go in life this man loves his work and finds happiness of being provider of his family back home
Im Indian but im born and brought up in the UAE, and I can confirm that there are many people who have similar conditions like this gentleman. Alhamdulillah my family is doing okay, though we r having some financial issues as of late and its getting harder day by day. I consider myself blessed to see that despite the hardship this man faces, he still works hard with honesty and integrity. This motivates me to work hard in order to relieve myself and my family from the issues we r currently facing. And I have more respect for him cuz he believes in hard work despite his poverty, whereas some people barely work but make fortunes, and that boils my blood.
I work nearby in the ministry, i visited this beautiful gentleman one time to get one of my friend's shoe fixed, he was soo humble and true to heart that he didnt even overcharged me for the fix and charged me a fair price.... I wish that his honesty and lots of love for his job brings him happiness and one day inshallah he calls his family to dubai.... Will soon be visiting you uncle :)
1 month ago i was in Dubai for a business trip of a couple of days, at one night i took a taxi backing to my hotel after a dinner, it turns out the driver came from Pakistan, he told me he had been in Dubai working for 10 years, and he was 30 years old, he said he has 4 kids in Pakistan and he has to send money back to his family to support them, when i was ready to say something to comfort him however he then told me he also has a girlfriend in Dubai..
He gave you all options to empathy with him Plan A - a family man hard working Plan B - a play boy Because he was not sure about you and what's your orientation and interest He did this to find shared interest and things in common with you to talk more and more, all that for the tip he will get from you or for something you may ask him to get or do for you so he can make money.
we call this man ... "chacha" he take lessthan 3 AED for normal damage shoes.. and lessthan 7 AED for any other extra work on Shoe you know, to live in Dubai very expensive ... may Allah Bless his man...
Sees this old man almost everyday when i pass by this place which is near to my office. Used his repair service couple of times. He is really hard working old man. Always thought to ask him about his story but was hesitant. Its good to find it here on youtube. More respect to him. I will surely tell him about his video on youtube. Thanks for sharing this howard johnson
Just met him the other day... I said him Hi, he still remembers u Howard. What a man, no regrets... grown old but he still has that spark in his eyes and smile on his face.

+Recon Marksman Because they have no class. The truly "rich" don't seek gratification from others. That's why in the Middle East for all its oil will never be regarded as first world countries.

Time passes away, along with it we too, so in the end it doesn't matter what kind of luxuries we had in world, the grave is the same for rich and poor and so is the eternal life for which we all are destined. World is merely a transit phase of our real being, the soul. JazakALLAH
money is what we worship now. you wake up late for church, you'll go next weekend, wake up late for work, you tripping. We traded God and Earth for money and extravagant things.
swapnil kaushik western countries are far better for Muslim then these ruthless Arab ones. For example if he was in UK for even 10 years he would have his whole family with him in uk with free education and 5 bedrooms house.
Hanufa Qureshi dudes i think he just said for an example. My brother earns 20k pounds per month and he doesn't have 5 bedrrom house. He just bought 2 bedroom house😂
Sub titles are far better than voice overs. It's always nice to hear people speak from their own mother tongue. You feel them better as they express themselves.
I was in Dubai last week & visited there 6 times since 2003 sadly I didn't get to meet this gentleman. I respect him for his hardwork & business ethos. God bless him. Ameen
I know him we give our shoes to him and always pay him extra :) he knows me since I was 3 years old he even had cats in his small space he's a very caring man :( one day he even fixed my school shoe for free :) I was 9 yrs old he didn't even charge even thou I had minimum of 5 dhs
Sagar Kumar so that they can look after them in old age...also it's part of the sunnah of the prophet ...majority of people of heaven will be from Muhammed nations ...
Tazboy, We are two brothers and we are enough in numbers two look after our parents. Heaven? Seriously you are delusioned. Population is the current issue in the world. Think about it.
Sagar Kumar we muslims see children as Allah subhana wa ta'ala 's blessing, As 'Tazboy' said, it's our belief. But sorry I just can't understand why you people see it as something that will stop you from having a good life...I mean yes for sure you'll not be able to save as much as money as you would do with 1 or 2 children but is money that important? I guess everyone values different things...
Is that so? And who are you to say how many children someone should have? You think that overpopulation is an issue and that "educated people" have it all figured out? If many of these "educated people" you refer to gave from what they have to the poor and didn't think themselves as superior beings, what you speak of wouldn't be an issue. The real problem is the way that you and your ilk think. "My money, My life, My problems". Had you dedicated your concern to what really mattered, which is your own selfishness, your own irresponsibility, the world would be a better place and you a better human.
I always thank God for the money he gives me and give charity. I don't spend money on hotels, cars, erc. I spend it on experience (diving, swimming, shooting, stuff that makes u feel alive)
Dang, when you think of Dubai you think of fast car's, big building's, and the "Rich" community. But you never think of the less fortunate or in other words "Poor" community. This really surprised me and I have a feeling it surprised all of us.
In the world,Poor people they are struggle for some food but in Dubai there are lots of people they are wasting huge amount of money for enjoy in night club ..nobody thinking about poor people ...only God .....
He lives in dubai and goes home for only 2 months in 2 years but still he has 6 children. If he had been home just imagine how many kids he would have?
Dubai was built on the back breaking labor of these poor souls. Blood, sweat and tears. But They have no share in Dubai's wealth. This poor guy can't afford to visit the malls or the tallest building in the world. May Allah will give him his due share in the hereafter.
