Day of deer hunting goes bad on Prince William Sound (the boat sinks) 

On December 30, 2021, a couple of friends, along with myself, took my 28' Alumaweld boat out on Prince William Sound. Along on the ride was my brother-in-law, Paul, my pastor Dwight, a good friend named Jesse, and several children. We left Whittier in high spirits, harvesting two deer fairly quickly. Joy turned to sorrow when our boat got stuck on a rock, and then capsized and sank, due to the dropping tide. Before the boat flipped over we were able to use the raft to get to shore. The US Coast Guard brought us back to Whittier, and I drove home with an empty trailer. Thankful we were ok and only shaken up. It was a day we will never forget, and boating has never been the same for me since that event.
