Sometimes I feel that I missed out, coming into the channel when Thick was not well and only really doing cameos. That said, my first quotable phrase I picked up, was indeed from Thick. It was "Those Canadian's are fucking crazy, I'm moving to Canada!"

For sure can’t wait to see more, what all is in it and the guys’ interactions with everything. Hoping that they group up with the Rad Cats and somehow all get some armor. Seeing them all patrolling the Mojave in some slick suits would be pretty rad.

Totally, hope this one will get a lot of updates. Playing 7 days to die in Fallout universe sounds like an amazing idea.

The first thing to ever kill me in a fallout game was a deathclaw within 5 minutes of starting fallout new Vegas back when the game first released like 10 ish years ago. XD second thing was a swarm of bees a few minutes later. I was NOT used to the way these games worked.

​@@kevinw3601don't worry. We ALL didn't know Cazadores were that deadly. Hell, you not dying to radscorpions already meant you better than most players. Though that may be me from FO2 speaking, since radscorpions from Interplay was less deadly than FO3 n FNV.

I remember watching the Lunchlady video and keeping my own personal death counter. Dora and Neebs combined kept that ticking over nicely.

While true, I sometimes really enjoy their solo stuff. The Long Dark was better as a duo for sure but Appsro's solo prelude video? One of the better let's play type videos I've seen. Simon was great playing Poppy's Playtime by himself as well.

I was legitimately surprised at how much I enjoyed Simon solo gaming, when I watched Poppy's Playtime. At the time I came into the channel, Simon was getting a lot of crap (iin the youtube commenrs) about being burnt out, annoying or generally an awful gamer and not in a good natured ribbing way. It's hard for some of that to not stick with you, when you don't know about them much as individuals being new to the channel. Now though? I've come to really appreciate them all for different reasons and some of my favourite moments are when Simon succeeds at something.

I was expecting to have to wait until 1.0, or test at least.

Note that Airburst Vs ground burst also matters. Which is where things get funky. An Airburst is more destructive, it's used to destroy installations, factories, troop columns and cities. However, most of fallout would not be dispersed immediately over the area, so, with the more energetic and short-lived isotopes, 48 hours post nuke is safe. Likely higher background radiation but not likely to be dangerous. A ground burst is used against hardened targets.... Like the ICBM siloes. This results in more radioactive fallout. While fallout would have settled within 48 hours, approaching the blast crater is ILL advised, as long lived isotopes would be concentrated there. This also depends on how many nukes n etc, esp since these would be strategic counterforce, aka aimed at nukes, the radiation will last much longer as nuclear material from your own nukes is also there. Otherwise, the dangers of post nuclear exchange 48hrs later would be consuming or inhaling radioactive isotopes, although none of this is likely to be immediately lethal. Think cancers and like, although contaminated water may build up significant amounts of isotopes. In general though, if you living in a city without strategic targets nearby (nuke silo, submarines, bombers), 2 weeks post exchange should be perfectly safe as long as water is filtered/treated. With nuke siloes nearby, waiting 2 weeks should be safe to exit the bunker, but don't eat/drink from nearby sources and evacuate carefully, avoiding places where the nukes drop.

Thats the thing folks don't understand about any of the new ones. its Hydrogen, not uranium, so less radiation but much bigger boom.

Worst early game weapon. Not terribly fond of it later, either. Currently using the spear a lot. Probably best melee weapon for horde nights, due to reach. Club is all around excellent. Pipe baton is okay early, but gotta switch to stun ASAP. I always have a knife on my hotbar. Mostly for harvesting, but also for melee backup. Especially early game, when stamina is such an issue - tag 'em w/ bleeds and evade until stamina regens.

One of my uncles lived in Kansas, some tiny town I've since forgotten the name of. Some of the buildings had nuclear fallout shelter stickers on the windows. It was pretty strange to me at first. But he was so sure that those bunkers were maintained and clean and filled with years-worth of supplies. He never believed me when I told him years in such a small space just want realistic.

That would be cool, especially since they adding that new area next month

12:30 I'm laughing so hard I had to pause it, I was choking and gasping for breath. I've played the mod too so I can relate to what they're going through right now. My first few days I got killed by a radioactive animal, a Raider with a shotgun, a Raider with an M60, and saved from a bunch of Zombies by a bunny rabbit (if you know you know).
