The Uber Driver Lady I never see any younger women driving Uber in my area. It's mostly older people. And this one time this Uber driver(who was an older white lady) was playing Gucci Mane at 10am in the UBER lmaoo
People are so brainwashed. Society puts up this image that any girl that is not a size 0 is automatically "fat." Dascha isn't the skinniest actress, but she's definitely not fat. She's thick and beautiful as hell, and I think she looks better than most of these twigs on TV.
DrakeakaDrizzyfan123 So if someone says they like something, that's the only thing they like? If you like pancakes... am I to assume that's ALL that you ever want to eat.
JESUSCHRISTHEMESSIAH Dominicans like myself don't claim black because by definition we are mixed. We are a combination of native islanders (Taino), Spaniard, and African slaves. So choosing only one out of the three is asinine. So we simply refer to ourselves as Dominican. Also many of us look either white (Spaniard) Indian ( Taino) or just black. We're not like Chinese people, for example, who all have a very similar look about them.
If that's you in your profile picture Alexis, you look neither Indian, nor white (Spanish) nor black. My point to the original poster regarding this actress is outside of New York no one would care if she was Dominican or Puerto Rican or Cuban or whatever other mixes there are. She would be considered black. Want to know where I got that thought from? A Dominican from New York who also doesn't care for other Dominicans who constantly have to announce what they are!
***** There are plenty of people who are knowledgeable about hip hop AND have enough common sense to know that using your phone during an interview is unprofessional.
Im Haitian. But I was born here. My parents are immigrants. So I hears a lot about the mistreat on the island. But Dominicans here are so nice and chill and dont think like that. Its so sad. But I do appreciate what he said. Im open to all cultures and backgrounds. I dont look at color and huge reason why is because we are all skin bones heart and a brain. We all are the same: humans.
I'm a latina and I've never been in the USA but I do get the humor, tho for some reason he made me feel uncomfortable more than once in the interview... But I love Dasha 😂
Thats such an inspiring story. Just shows that no matter what, if you work hard, stay persistent and follow your heart, dreams really do come true. Wow. Its crazy how your life can change instantly. Always take that chance that you were inching to take. Things like this can happen. #Inspiration
Minute 15:30. I feel his and many people's concern for the Stereotype part. I agree and yes its is there but as a black Latina having a Dominican girl from Brooklyn, of her complexion, background etc., that worked more than one job believe me that brings me lots of pride. I identify with her enough to overlook the stereo type. GIRLS like her don't appear in Spanish soap opera, or any Latino programing, or UNIVISION, TELEMUNDO. They always have the European looking ones. So Her and all the Latinas on a show of the magnitude of the OITNB that are of different complexions and backgrounds are Heroes right now.
The irony of Ebro talking about how the previous morning show fell apart, when he ruined it by forcing himself in the show ever since the summerjam Nicki thing in 2012.
Latinos speak Spanish but they are not Spanish. People from Spain are Spanish. Plus, Jewish people are not white they're Caucasian. So are East Africans and South Asians.
What a fortunate lady! She is most certainly blessed! I love her role on "OITNB"! She kisses the cutest men on the show! I am green with envy! You Go Girl!
Dayanara is one of the only characters on the show that doesnt attract me….I think her acting isn't good enough…her character and her correction officer boyfriend always made me look away because they are so awkward when they act together and they both can't act.
1. She's so fucking cute. She has a naturally pretty face that doesn't need make up. 2. I never knew she had such a vibrant personality. She's somewhat droll and laid back on the show. It's good to see the real her. 3. She has definitely picked up weight. She looked even better when she was slim (sorry, just my preference).
Awkward tension in this interview. Even though they joke openly about the tension and it looks like they put it out there, it feels like there's much more under the surface that isn't being addressed. It's one of those things where joking about it almost makes it worse 'cause they aren't being real.
