As a former childcare provider, working both in a daycare setting and as a private nanny. I was an educated with the ECE requirements and all the kids that I now need for had really good social skills and spoke early, because I was always speaking to them and I am trying to play groups and they didn’t get their socialization. Every child that I nanny for spoke early and very clearly. The great thing about having a nanny is the kids get one on one attention and don’t get sick as much. If I was sick and couldn’t make it to work, I did not charge the family.
Great points. My husband and I both work and when we were looking for a nanny we had some requesting paid leave and paid sick days. I do not even get paid leave or sick days at work. If we paid for the nanny on days she was not working, it would be too great a financial burden. Some nannies forget we are working people too trying to make it. We are not beyonce or jLo so we appreciated it when we finally found a reasonable nanny.
What works for “you, you, you” !! It’s all about the parents! What about how things will impact the children?! Parents don’t want to make sacrifices in order to raise their children themselves. Abuse happens from daycare & nanny providers… even when they pass background checks. Stay home with your kids. You won’t regret it.
