Song in this video is Hail to the queen. This album leaked a week ago. Its an amazing album, lol i couldnt wait. I did pre order it though so its all good
There will always be that better singer, better guitarist etc but just the way the riffs are played and how they complement his vocals is what makes this band worth listening to. You have to understand that after going through what Shay did, getting back on that proverbial horse would have been a challenge so any riff would mean he has learned to live again.
I think you may have misunderstood my meaning, the composition is great (particularly how they compliment the vocals, as you said) but they're still very easy to play.
I will eat my hat if there are no effects on his vocals. I don't mean to correct them either, I mean just effects. There is no way that effects weren't used. I've heard him live, and yes, he is amazing live, but there are effects on his vocals on the album nonetheless.
How do people talk shit about of mice and men already...he WAS better in of mice and men because the overall talent in that band is higher...dayshell is cool and different but its pretty much just one man's project
Ive never said "Jesus Christ!!" so many times. I understood that you meant the riffs were easy to play and werent challenging. Sir, you are misunderstanding my meaning. No matter how easy the riffs are, its that choice to pick up the guitar after what happened that makes the music worth listening to.
That's how Shay sounds live. He doesn't use anything for his voice when recording. That's just how he sounds when he sings. In recording and live. His live singing sounds VERY similar to his recordings.
cool and different yes. but a band is not a one man show. you do realise that only with the members support that this would have been possible. I shall play the devil's advocate and say OM&M is a one man band itself. Shay was not "better" in om&m. he was a member just like jaxin, phil, tino and alan. But if the dynamics in the band was positive, dont you think he would have stayed? He had the best times with that band and leaving something like that would have been the hardest thing to do.
