Thanks you! That’s how I roll. I’m so sick and tired of hiring or working with people who make me feel like I work for them. Delays, excuses, issues. When I do it. IT GETS DONE!
@@dayshellofficialI feel ya. Always wanted to form a band in the style of my favorite band "From Autumn To Ashes". But in my younger days where I put more effort in searching for people I got so tired of it. My problem is I never learned instruments by myself. There is so much to it. It's unbelievable that's why it's so amazing to see someone like you. I am 35 now and I don't wanna give up but finding people for making old emocore music is impossible. Especially here in Germany.
@blessthephil right there with ya duder! I'm 35yo myself and I'm also at this point in my life where I need to worry about my own creativity and just dyi. Been in many local bands and while they were great memories and the different genres made me a more well-rounded musician, it still became a dead end just simply a joining musician to another band. Most issues coming from other bloated ass egos that does nothing than to burn me. It doesn't mean I won't find others and give em a try but there HAS to be a cohesion. I'm just gonna let that run its course naturally whether they think this music style works for them or not. If so, SWEET! If not, oh well, you know where the door is. Someone else will come along 🤷♂️ No harm no foul, no wasted time. Here's to us lone wolves 🤘
Shayley continuing to make music after OM&M and literally having better music than them now. Is amazing, but not remotely unexpected. Always have loved his flow, vocals and lyrics. Absolutely incredible. As always.
Shayley was the most unique part of OM&M and the band absolutely started falling short after his loss. So stoked to be able to continue to hear his vocals.
My favorite of the whole album! Return of the Doc!!! The whole process hard work as well as drive! Shay… you most beautiful strong creative human please never stop sharing your lyrics as well as your voice! You are easily one of my favorite vocal artists of all time
The self titled album came out when I was an early teen and is one of the reasons I enjoy screams in metal; I absolutely love to see the progression in Shayley's songwriting! On a side note, I think with new Beartooth stuff, a Caleb/Shayley collab would be one of the biggest things to come out of the scene in the past few years (hoping to plant a seed)
I used to cry because i wanted more OMM choruses and then i found out the chorus guy makes his own band named dayshell?! I was stoked! Idk what it is about the combination of chords and notes you use Shayley it makes my heart feel so satisfied and i love singing along in my car :)
Maaann I’d love to see a breakdown/tutorial of your approach on vocals. You’ve always had such a unique voice that has stood out. Amazing track! Can’t wait to hear more!
Bro, I did not know who you were till the other day. I’ve loved the first 2 OM&M albums so much I got it blasted on my skin. Still listen to them frequently, Got me through some shit in my life. Since discovering that you are the clean singer from those days, I’ve dived in deep and love the music you’re making… all on your own. So grateful for this discovery. So happy to see “Rush” poster in the background. So appreciative of your talent. Stoked to see what’s to come.
I’ve read through some comments you got, and I’ve examined the landscape. I love to see the independent foundation your laying. It’s no longer about signing a deal, or who you might know. With the internet, and the possibilities that come with it, you can accomplish all of it on your own. I never liked rap music, and love him or hate him, Tom McDonald is another example of this new world of artistic discovery we have just began to witness. Never sign a record deal, never listen to the haters. Do it your way, or not at all. Mad respect bro. 🤘🏻
good god man, this!! This right here is what inspiration and aspiration is made of! I've been hiatus on writing music for the last couple years but you inspire me. lol the short end of the stick is not having a vocalist with the power and presence in their voice like you. thank you for all the new jams and still being inspired!
I wish I knew about the go fund me earlier I would have definitely put whatever I could. I am so happy he want his career to go on so much he does the shit himself that’s dedication and if he’s that dedicated I am a dedicated FAN. KEEP IT COMMIN SHAY !!!! 🎉🎉🎉there’s no song you’ve put out that I have disliked and that’s rare for me.
