Yeah because of the autotune. U can hear it plain as day on this track. He’s good I’ll give you that, but u should see this live vid of him playing this one’s for you, he cracked on like so many notes
I wouldn't go that far, Austin and Shayley are both talented vocalists, Of mice and men had a very unique sound with the combination that was original on both their parts, Dayshell is original in its own way, and the new Of Mice and Men is very unique as well, the bands and musicians have all evolved and progressed on to newer things
João Cota You should crawl out from that rock, all the new album did was make me respect the band more as people, their new album is incredible, everything from the guitars down to the vocals is top notch(not to mention meaningful), they spent a lot of time on it and I was satisfied, it held to their style but they brought some new elements to the table, who are you to hold someone or a group of people back when they are simply trying to progress, that's like having to repeat your senior year for the rest of your life and never being able to graduate highschool and move on the next phase of your life, listen to what you want but don't bitch about other people listening too what they want, their allowed to make their own decisions and like their own music and the sooner you stop living in denial of that truth, you'll be a lot happier trust me :P
Cassidy Simon You have your opinion, I'll stick to mine. Their guitar work is shit. Still creating the same 2 notes riffs, nothing new there. A 10 y/o would do similar.
It's pretty obvious you don't understand what you are talking about, it may be the same notes but a change in the tuning (which they have done) alters the note and therefore changes the general sound, there are only so many sounds a guitar can make, if you listen to the pinch harmonics and the breakdowns off the new album and the general riffs it is down tuned, and therefore different, also, the same "2 note riff" that you are referring too is laughable considering that most guitar riffs have upwards of 4 notes due to the fact that there are 4 beats in a measure, I find it funny that you know so little of music and talk like you do, almost any riff by Of Mice & Men has upwards of 8 too because they use 8th and 16th notes more due to the fact that the music they play is fast and heavy
I just found out TODAY THAT SHAYLEY WAS IN DAYSHELL, like omfg. I'm crying right now I missed him so much! And Dayshell's music & Shayley's voice AMAZIIING!!!
Me too, disappointing for me because Shayley's voice is so haunting and in my honest opinion suited Of Mice and Men much better, it seems misplaced here. It's possibly just a wish for more Shayley, but oh well.
I'm a contrast to these other guys; I think Of Mice & Men are abysmal (and if i had to pick one of their albums to listen to, it would actually be Restoring Force haha!). But meanwhile Dayshell are amazing in my opinion so yeah. Did you listen to OM&M and what did you think? :')
Just heard from a friend that shayley put a band together, and surprised how much i enjoyed this, now listening to the full album and have become a fan, all that is left is to see dayshell live and the process is complete.
It all had to start somewhere. After being in a "famous" band, it takes some balls to start over. And damn has Shayley done it in style. This is on repeat till the album drops in Oct 15.
When this album comes out it's just going to wreck music for me. No other music is going give me the satisfaction that the music from this band gives me. Godamnit Dayshell.
What a pleasant surprise! I missed Shayley in OM&M and didn't have very high hopes for Dayshell, but this is really great. I'll be picking this one up for sure. Best part is that he treats his voice like an instrument, always something new.
That's because he spent SO much time making the bass sound as punchy and sick as possible. I think he said he used two separate bass tones and went nuts. Love the bass sound on this album, especially since it's Shayley's little brother playing it!
THANK YOU, I agree completely, People responded the same way when Austin Carlile left Attack Attack and made OM&M. People need to realize, these guys have talent so even if they leave a band you like and move on, It's for the best. DayShell has SO MUCH potential.
I don't get why people are criticizing Dayshell and the singer. He is amazing. This band has a lot of talent and this is theit debut album... singer calls this genre "fresh metal" and he's right. It's pretty damn fresh.
Shay.. Your screams and sings are so pure and powerful. This band is going to be big I can tell, day shell has really surprised me this music. Best of luck to them.
