Daytona HPA system - worth it?

Short answer is no. It is a pricy kit, the install is as hard as it can get for an airsoft "upgrade". It's 1k plus for a gun that has mid range aeg game performance.
Long answer is depends, if practicality and money are not a big issue:
If you are looking for a cool wall piece, it is certainly on the rare side of airsoft guns;
If you play CQB, lots of the disadvantage is not significant and the recoil certainly will put a smile on your face and turn some eyeballs;
If you absolutely want recoil and HPA, this is currently the only offer that combines both;
If you decide to get one, get a WA compatible body (G&P, Ino, Viper) and the Daytona system for WA.

I got one of these and it shoots 450fps using 450mm inner barrel at 125psi. With a rhopped barrel I was reaching 60m on 330fps using 210mm barrel.

this isnt the only way to get hpa and recoil, the kjw kc02 has a few options for hpa magwell adapters and other upgrade parts, its over all much cheaper than daytona guns if you only buy necessary upgrades like a tight bore inner barrel, hpa magwell, floating valve, and piston. the only problem is that its not full auto out of the box but theres an upgrade for that

That's a GBB rifle though, this isn't, this is a drop in kit that replaces AEG/GBB internals entirely.

@@Burnding That's where I am currently at. Had a design I thought would work but no dice. I did some more research and found the mentioned animated gif. "HPA Escort Engine" and "sun project m series gas internals animation." If you can't find it I can dm it to you.

The meme about the complains are usually from people who soend allot of money on the coolest gear but never maintain it. Every skrim or event i attend i maintain my guns. From checking screws bolts etc to inspecting wear and tear. Most people just get airsoft guns. Play with them and cast them aside between games. Then procédé to bash manufacturers for their own lack of responsibility

wyz2285 I don’t like it honestly what’s why it hangs on the wall but I can reach 450fps on 0.2g at 125 psi. It is skirmishable but it’s much better for cqb.

I'm guessing it depends on which platform it was installed on. The usual issues I'm seeing are from those that bought used kits (just don't) and those that have no time to actually tinker with the kit themselves (get a P*, seriously). Thought mine had problems for a long while, turns out it was my tank regulator crapping out (inconsistent low fps). I have the M249 gen4 kit if anyone's asking.

@@hatemeok2005 hello, would you be able to elaborate on potential issues with the m249 kit over time? I dont know anyone first hand but always hear "they will destroy themselves" over time, not knowing exactly what that means. I'm getting ready to hpa my m249 and am debating between a simple polarstar or daytona. Reliability is kind of key, but i've always dreamed of a daytona kit for the build. If it's a matter of simple maintenance, that is fine. Any info/tips appreciated!
