I'm someone who is overweight and not just some cute chub here and there, I have avoided dating or getting close to people for the last twelve years because of this very reason, I too feel like i cannot exist because of the way the rest of the world makes me feel about how much I weigh, I don't even go out anymore because people have made me feel extremely self conscious because of it. They assume when you are fat that automatically means you are lazy and sit around and eat alot and it isn't always the case. But seeing that wonderful lad genuinely love and stick up for her, even making clothes for her so she can feel beautiful and really loved is something so rare and so sweet, I would hope one day more people could be like him and good on you Daz for what you said too and thank you for the laugh with the whole "you'll still be a c*nt" thing. that was perfection!

As someone who actually experienced a boyfriends friends constantly commenting about my weight, it’s refreshing to see a man who actually sticks up for the woman rather than agreeing and joining his friends

personality matters wayyyyy more than looks in my opinion. physical/visual attraction is still important to some extent but it all comes down to who the person is on the inside and how they treat you. i would much prefer a caring and interesting 4/10 than a 10/10 with no personality.

Everything Daz said in this video I couldn’t agree more with. Size should never matter when it comes to a relationship. Neither should skin color, hair color, anything. Ofc size matters when it comes to health and u should always watch your health. But that goes for anyone. Not just plus size people.

I dated a plus size man and people would say ‘how’s he done that then’ or ‘why are you with him’ a lot which understandably upset him. Unfortunately as it turned out he was horrible and ended up blaming the fact he was overweight on me somehow bc I loved him as he was, but for me it was never something I thought about. I think insecure people don’t love themselves so they don’t understand why you love them, and people judge because they’re very superficial and don’t understand how others aren’t

As a plus sized person dating a skinny person I don’t really get why people can be so judgmental over something so small. My partner loves the fact that I’m a bit bigger in body shape (obviously she also gets concerned and makes sure I don’t end up with any serious health issues) and the difference between our weights has never been a big problem. Even through secondary school most people either made fun of us or said we were a cute couple. The odd few times we were judged or made fun off it was mostly directed at me and questioning my partner’s standards. I don’t get it.
