such a good track! doesn't compare to the new tracks. Trance needs to take a look at what the 96 - 2005 producers were aiming for.... pure atmospherics, goosebumps and all that funky stuff
Sadly, most of the producers come up with excuses saying that "oh the fans don't want to hear this anymore" "That sound is too tired and overused" . Why try to change what's not broken. Looks like they are going for instant gratification rather than giving a track soul. Going to where the $$$ or the majority of the market wants to hear which is EDM and very noisy tracks.
I disposed of many brain cells and most of my hearing during this period. It was magnificent. I remember thinking that the world had changed. It hadn't, but it was a lot of fun gurning away believing that it had.
@@amaymankad121 Producers do not realize they are fighting for scraps amongst themselves. If you'd really want to shine out from the masses, create nice trance track that has good dynamics, life and soul in it and see what happens. Problem is, all of them don't even know what good dynamics mean (having a big difference between levels of different sounds), they all just put their maximizers into max. After they do that, they could not reach the old sound even if they tried, so it's all more or less cold sounding noisy mess, even if it should have nice feeling and athmosphere. Well, some people still like it, but I bet very few of them realize how you could really LOVE correctly produced music.
@@amaymankad121 It's not a single thing like digital plugins I think. It's more like the production values themselves have headed into horrible direction, loudness wars and all that. I read once an article about using compressors and author did note that you should also listen your track without your compressor on to hear if it REALLY made it any better or only worse and that he was surprised how often he'd only make things worse with it. But it is given now that you need to have maximizer on the main channel to control dynamics (instead of lowering the volume of sounds and leaving enough dynamic space for everything) and sidechain compressors and whatnot so you can push the average volume up as loud as possible. All the producers who are so into it and have studied their techniques so long won't ever stop to consider if everything they are doing is misguided to start with, so we are stuck with this what we have with very few realizing what is wrong. I am constantly on the verge of trying to create more trance of my own to just show what it could be, but I haven't found the energy to do it, with all other things that are going in my life.
Can always count on Lange to take a track and remix it into a master piece 😀 and take it to the next level. This track got me addicted to Trance Music. I just followed and it shown me life and light, all the colours of the world, birds and trees, so beautiful.
Lange sure was a prolific remixer! I always end up finding another Lange remix that I wasn't aware even existed. I don't know how he did it! Even then, it's one thing to remix a lot of tracks, but it's totally different for them all to have such quality! Lange typifies the best of the Golden Era of trance (alongside Laurent Veronnez aka Airwave, M.I.K.E Push, and a few others). I never get tired of this channel!

Somehow I missed this cut over the 25 years of listening to this music. Put on a random classic trance set while driving back home from the Sierra. This tune came on just as the sun was setting and the mountains were ablaze with alpenglow. Absolutely perfect timing to be introduced to it as gazing at the Range of Light. What a moment.
I find the concept of time travel terrifying and mostly improbable at best. The ramifications of getting it wrong would be potentially devastating for all life. But, I'd give it a go to get back to these days...

Yes!! Went on nearly every car journey when I was a kid growing up in the 2000s and it holds a VERY special place in my heart. Absolute top draw. Perfection. I've bought the CD multiple times since and have the playlist on Spotify... Will never forget it!
