Hi John, Glad to see you back at the videos. Do they make a single 18 version of this? I only see a bandpass single 18 on the website. Is rcf coming out with a sub9004?
they have the 1518 which is 1500 watts RMS into a single 18" but it is not the same design. That is it. RCF is coming out with an updated SUB8003, but not sure about a 9004. Was hoping to catch up at INFOCOMM this year, but too much going on and had to cancel plane tickets and room. Maybe next year and NAMM for sure.
I think you'll get more punch with the added power of this box and the configuration of it being smaller in size allowing drivers to really move some air
The S20 and KS20 are basically the same speaker, rather than phasing the S20 out, changed to KS20 and a few minor tweaks and rebranded as the KS20 - for the price point the KS20 is a great sub, the S30 even better
Can you make a detailed video about New products from RCF Sub series. For example we are wondering about new RCF 8003-ASII and 905 ASII subs. I think it will helpfull for everyone who is thinking to buy new sub from RCF. For me i'm wondering 8003 ASII what is inside of the cabinet driver amplifier etc. Also I'm curious about how is new RCF 8003 ASII ' s power frequency response compared to the 8004 AS. We are waiting and following your professional reviews Thank you.
We will see what we can do , those are big boxes, so getting them in without someone ordering them will be a challenge , the 8003 AS2 is killer, as well as the new 905 AS2 , but the 8004 is better, more power...we will see what we can do in the future
@trinityprosound, I'm shopping around for subs. Torn between the DVA S30N and the RCF 8006. For the price point, I like that the S30's have RDNET. What I don't like is the volume drop. Which sub would you recommend at this price point? Thanks.
Tell me about the events you do, are they all over the place in genre? or all rock or ? The 8006 seems to go lower IMO due to larger volume of enclosure and SPL is close. RDNET is good but if all your boxes are not RDNET does not do you a huge dis-service to go with subs without as the module and cabling to monitor adds set up time, etc. We usually walk the event and look at the limiter lights on the subs to see how often they are hitting during higher low end sets. Going to run you about $1000 to get RDNET set up with decent cables from FOH to the speakers, maybe a bit more...for a few $$$ more the 9006 are pretty amazing.
@@trinityprosound Thanks. I'd say that at least 75% of our events is providing sound reinforcement for DJ's at car shows and different venues throughout the Bay Area. It's mainly hip hop and top 40 in terms of genre. We have been using 4 per side DAS Event 208a's with 2 JBL SRX828SP's for subs. We have been using this for over 3 years now and think it's time for an upgrade. Some friends of ours suggested to go with the RCF HDL20A with 8006's for the subs. Of course looking at the other offerings in the price range, I was inclined to also look at the DVA T8's and the S30N's for subs. As far as RDNET, can you intermix RCF and DB Tech? Let's say use the T8's and 9006 together?
call us when ready to purchase. yes you can mix, but they don't run the same RDNET software, you would have to do all db or all RCF to ensure interface sees the speakers...I think the 8006 or 9006 is a great fix. but with that said there is a promo going on through the end of Oct 2018 that you buy "Buy 6 DVA T12’s or 6X T8’s and get a free DVA S30, or buy 12 DVA T12’s or 12 T8’s and get 2 free S30’s"
S30 is more power, 1000wRMS more and clam shell configuration, better drivers to handle more power and box goes louder and lower than S20. S20 has now been discontinued by db Tech, there is KS20 replacement and is a good sub, but S30 with 3000wrms is amazing sounding, lots of tests against other large main stream names and S30 has been a solid contender in dual 18" subwoofer. you can not beat for price point.
Kinda strange that the volume drops HARD below 50hz. This sub is not made for EDM music and djs (mainly not for very low frequencies). Maybe more for live bands. Same for DVA S10, S20 and the new DVA KS series. Am I right?
yes, you have to get large subs and drivers to get that or subs specifically made with long excursion voice coils. the RCF TTS56A's are able to do that...but they are large and very expensive.
TTS36A yes and the 26's for dual 15's do a great job, the 9006's maybe...but I would do the TTS36A or TTS56s, we just sold a pair of TTS56s to a highend DJ that wanted this sound along with TTL6A's it is going to be an amazing rig , and for live sound too !
not unless all the speaker specs line up with the original tuning of the speaker...it would have to be a direct replacement from db technologies. you just cant put any ole speaker in it and expect it to work and sound the same
trinityprosound ok i uderstand. so better if i choose to maintain its factory standard.. rather than to replace it with neodymium. maybe it will cause failure in amp module.
@@trinityprosound hi. I'm back. How can i adjust it's main volume while it doesn't have volume control at all? Should i connect it to pc first? To adjust it's volume level and it's audio mode selector?
you should be doing that on your mixer with AUX or SUB GROUP fed subwoofer feed and assign only those instruments that need SUB frequencies to that ground and high pass all others to your R/L at the crossover frequency, typically around 90hz
@@trinityprosound yeah but I the drivers are rcf that's what matters sound similar to the sub series from rcf just less powerful. Overall the design of the cabinet is better!
trinityprosound yes and big bass means heavy weight , low weight big bass cabinet cannot be made . if you want serious bass you need 2 people to lift it .
