in your opinion which one is better db Technologies ES1203 or RFC EVOX-12, sound clarity, sound pressure and other features, I"m deciding to buy a pair of them, thanks
Correct, power con is a lower current connector and not water tight , the TruCon is somewhat water tight and higher current. and BTW not interchangeable
We would have to get an order for those cabinets to do a video and we have not had any interest locally in them as of yet. Not that it won't happen, but they are a more specialized speaker
I own the j8s and want to know how well does the low mid, mids travel when using a separate subwoofer (subs being on an aux) considering that the low mids and mids will be on the ground ? I own prx812s but would love to just use the j8s for smaller clubs, but I'm concerned on the tone sounding thin when too many people are around the evoxs' "sub"
You will get more out of separate subs, issues with coverage will be anyone or thing blocking the sound from the speakers. if you have a good size crowd in front of the speakers, coverage is going to be reduced. It does take some distance for a wave to develop for the low end and you are going to notice more low end 20 feet out from them than right in front of them as well. As we have said , the LF is not a subwoofer but doing double duty as a low frequency driver and quasi sub low end. If you use the separate subs with a cross over around 90hz as found on the RCF subs, like 7 series and 9 series, you will be able to run the J8's a bit harder without clipping or destroying them.
The 7 series subs or the 905 will work well with the J8, use the built in crossover on the sub to the J8 and can run the J8 harder without clipping. Set at 90Hz for the crossover on the subwoofer output.
Hello, Thank you for this video. It is complicated to make a choice !!! My goal is to animate evenings (50/100 people Max) and other indoor / outdoor events ..... I need the Blutooth. Between SYA 15 and ES503..Or other things ? Is there a big difference? In terms of quality of materials, sound power and punch in the bass? Because in terms of price, necessarily the SYA is 2X cheaper than the ES503 .... So 2XSYA 15 or 1X503 or 1/2XES802 (Not Blutooth ?) or 2XES602 (Not Blutooth ?) other choices ? thank you for the answer
You will get a bit more low end from the ES503, but you will need a pair of them, also look at the ES802's they are a mono box, vs. "stereo" box of the ES503. Overall we have used ES503 for 200 peeps and works well and that was a live band. If you find you need more low end , add a dedicated subwoofer to the system. With the SYA you are going to need subs for low end duty. The ES boxes are low frequency drivers and a quasi sub configuration, but not a true subwoofer per se. We still have a pair of the ES503 we use and still going strong. If you do need blue tooth, get a good blue tooth receiver. Alto PRO makes some that plug in to speakers with XLR connections and can be paired to Stereo signal.
@@trinityprosound thank you for your comeback. Finally, I had the chance to come across 2X almost new RCF 715 Mk2 speakers + the RCF cover + the feet ... at half price. I bought a small mixer T-Mix 201 for the blutooth and power I hope I have not made a mistake !!!!
The 715s are great speakers...not familiar with the T-Mix here in the US. Just be carful to not red line them with the limiters coming on, you will need a subwoofer for low end for DJ work.
Yes the ART712 would pair up really well with the 905 sub. For a 15" it does have a lot of get up and go ! Everyone that has purchased the 905 is quite amazed that it is a 15" subwoofer.
I had evolve 50 and rcf 8004 and nxl24a, evolve was underpowered and rcf was overpowered for my 150 ppl wedding. Sold everything and ordered es1203, can't wait to have it, ill order a es1002 if I like what I hear to complete!
Yes, the top box really has fantastic directional output with the column of speakers. The lows start to fall off around 50 feet out, but the top box is quite amazing for coverage.
Does two of these work for small sports event's pa-system; main purpose is speaking; result list and presenter's speech and little bit background music when no speaking? Thanks! It is outdoor event.
TT22 is 12" and NX45 is 15" LF drivers so yes big difference and the NX45 has a HUGE HF driver and lower crossover point. All the TT line has premium amps, DSP and drivers as well as the best cabinet construction.
@@trinityprosound Ok thx. i meen NX35 ! :) but is there a big diverts in sound ? in tt22a mk2 and the nx35, i have now 8004 under it , but i look at the 8003, it have that dsp, looks like the TT serie , is the 8003 a update? or is that no good ?
The TT22 is a better box and different drivers, so yes it is going to sound different. the NX32 is a great speaker, just that the TT's are a better all around speaker, but more costly too. I really don't think you are going to hear a HUGE difference between the TT22 and NX32 with subs coupled to them, either 8003 or 8004 , the 8003 is a new design than the 8004. 8003 and 8004 have similar output max SPL within a few dB. Power is only 150 watts difference.
@@trinityprosound yeah but I the drivers are rcf that's what matters sound similar to the sub series from rcf just less powerful. Overall the design of the cabinet is better!
Hello i am planning to buy 2 b hype 8,for house parties ...i also have a jbl 15 " sub 350 wrms...do you thing it would be loud enough for that use?? Thanks!
the J8 would be my recommendation it is lighter and has all same amp and speakers as EVOX 8 just in a plastic enclosure and sounds great. The CS1000 is good but IMO the j8 is the winner for tonality
No they do not , would have to be a huge battery and that would drive up cost and weight. db Tech makes a battery powered speaker ,but the battery can go fast if you are driving the speaker hard...they are great(battery speakers) for talking heads where power is not available.
hi i have a request, I'm just ready to buy a pair of RCF HD10-A MKIV. For one sub (but with the idea to maybe buy a second one later) I have the choice for the same price with a new RCF SUB 702-AS II and a second hand RCF SUB 905-AS II. My question is yes the 905 is a bit louder and powerfull (great) BUT, is it a 15' inch sub (or a pair) a good sound profile with my pair of HD10 ? Thank you really much Romain
Hi, I'm thinking about buying either HD35-A or HD32-A mk4 speakers.Which one do you recomend for live band.Is there big difference in sound between HDM45-A and HD35-A?
I would go with the HDM45's if you can swing it ... amazing sound, my next choice would be the HD35's for live band ... the lower crossover point of the HDM45 is smooth and for vocals allows to really punch thru.
Hi man, I'm interested in this loudspeaker to improve my PA system with quality and volume (I own a couple of JBL PRX 635 now and I'm not very satisfied, quite happy but not 100% satisfied) and I read everywhere about this speaker output and quality. Would you suggest buying a couple of new NX45A or an ex-demo couple of the old version of TT25A (not the mk2 now on sale, the older analog version) ? Is there so much difference between first TT25A and the new mk2 version ? And what about HDM45, TT is still better ? I'm from Italy, I live 200 km from where RCF are made, so no problem finding everything RCF produced and produce. Thanks so much !
The NX45 is good, nice wooden box. Go listen to the HDM45 and NX45, for the money can't beat either of those, but the HDM has more power ... not sure you are going to hear a big difference between the T25 V1 and V2 , other than DSP is more refined. I was very impressed with the HDM45 and power of it.
@trinity sound .. Great video are you sure your 18s wasnt on while testing ... I still cant believe it ... Im going to buy a pair of these Bad Boys this week ... dj setups for weddings ... Can you please advise me on How many people will this be enough for in a indoor space of 40metres by 40 metres keeping in mind they have a set Dancefloor for 300 people
there are screws that go into the grille on the top and bottom or sides of the speaker, the grille is held in by rubber grommets thru the screw holes, it will come out once all the threaded screws are out of the grille with a wee bit of effort, just use a small hook of some type to help it out
is evox 12 good enough for a church setup, will the twitters not hit the face of the people sitting in the front? the church is a 250 people church, pretty small in depth from stage to the last chair about 25 feet, but its spread out about 75 feet. Would you recommend a evox 12, qsc12.2 or ev50?
Yes, we used db tech ES503 and EVOX 8s for a church of 200 and ran the entire band thru them ... the wide dispersion of the evox 12 will amaze you, don't waste your money on the QSC OR EV speakers.
Very thorough and comprehensive review! The best I have seen of any speakers so far, so congrats! I am planning on buying a used DB Opera 210D. Have you compared them to let's say, an Alto powered speaker? If so, what is your opinion on the 210D? Thanks,
the opera line is ok as well as the comparable Alto TS210 , we have used both and no issues with either when used correctly, but they are a 10" speaker with limited output , it depends on what you are going to use them for ????
Rcf and DB technologies being basically the sa.e company. Hiw does the evox 12 compare to the es1203? Also more of these column systems are coming out with build mixers. Think that will be an update to come in future versions from rcf/db technologies?
The ES1203 has more low end IMO. I dont think they are going to do much more with built in mixers, they can only do so much that is marketable to the masses and a system with a bigger mixer and more ability would not market well to all areas and at that point a dedicated mixer would be in order for a small band.
@@trinityprosound hi thanks for the reply it's just the specs for the 1002 and 1203 appear to be different both in frequency and SPL which is strange as understood the only difference was split top box and dsp ?
@@trinityprosound I was going to add the 1002 to my 1203 but the sub frequency differs so I'm concerned the coupling effect would suffer, the low frequency are different I'm sure
No need to worry on that , the two will sound so close you won't really notice, they are really the same except for the power amplifier/mixer that the ES1203 uses vs. the 1002.
