DBM Contracting's DBR locomotives 

I wouldn't consider myself to posess a particularly smart brain. As for the video itself, I think it's very good, although I struggled to read the captions. The DBRs are definitely some of the more unique diesels in this country. Well maybe not unique, but certainly rare. Incidentally I too saw these same DBRs in July last year, when Steam Incorporated had a big open day. Without being too boastful, I was allowed to go in the cab of DBR 1226. Last time I was in Paekakariki, and when I last saw these engines, was about six months ago, though the DBRs were not the reason I went back down that way.

Superb video! Gosh all of the DBM Contracting DBR's are so cool! I'm also very happy at how you were able to get a excellent shot of my favourite DBR which is DBR1267! I really hope some of these DBR's get used and preserved in the future. I should have gone to see them when I was in Wellington! But yeah such a awesome video! It definitely would have been worth the trip down there to see them! -Riki

Is there an actual long term plan for these? Looks as though they're slowly deteriorating to the point of no return. He also has some rolling stock stored at Mission Bush (Steel Mill), including Da 1429 which is also looking a little worse for wear. A lot of rust bubbling through. It's all well and good collecting these things but if you haven't got the means of repairing them, best to hand them over to someone who does.

There is no possessive apostrophe for marking something as plural. Example of Singular: "There is a DBR panted in blue, without insignia." Example of plural: "Two DBRs are painted in blue, and with insignia."
