0:14:44 - Dulles (IAD) is served by the Silver Line to Ashburn. Transfer at L'Enfant via the Yellow Line to Mt. Vernon Square, or at any station between Rosslyn and L’Enfant via the Blue Line to Downtown Largo. Baltimore (BWI) is a short train ride on either the MARC Penn Line or Amtrak Acela and Northeast Regional from Union Station on the Red Line to Glenmont. Transfer at Gallery Place via the Yellow Line to Mt. Vernon Square, or at Metro Center via the Blue Line to Downtown Largo.
This was incredibly relaxing to watch! Really well edited and some cool fun facts. I don't think I ever realized that the yellow line didn't go to Maryland at all, which I suppose makes sense since I live in Maryland and yellow is my least ridden metro line.
Thank you for watching. Yes, ever since they cut service in 2023, the Yellow Line is the only one that doesn't go to Maryland. But apparently they're supposed to be restoring service to Greenbelt.
Pro tip: If you're taking Amtrak into town from the south, you might want to get off at Alexandria and take either the Blue or Yellow line from there instead of going all the way to Washington Union Station and taking the Red from there. You can save as much as half an hour! (With VRE it is a little different because there stops at Crystal City and L'Enfant Plaza.)
Express to where? It's really only good for getting from Alexandria or Eastern Arlington to Gallery Place and back. You can't even get to U St. (the most interesting neighborhood in the city) without transferring to the Green and they share tracks.
