The view of DC Rivals HyperCoaster, Australia's first ever hypercoaster at Warner Bros. Movie World from the front row. DC Rivals HyperCoaster was built by Germany's Mack Rides. Footage provided by Village Roadshow Theme Parks.
Btw for anyone planning on going on this, it looks bumpy but the camera must be somewhere weird because it is the smoothest roller coaster I’ve ever been on.
RideExpedition I was there a couple months ago, the line was so big. And you can buy backwards passes for $13, which means you can ride it backwards, AND skip the line. We bought 8. We went backwards 8 times and I miss it so much.
I went on it like 5 times and after the 5th time it started to feel really choppy I don’t know if it was just we were dizzy or something because the first few times were really smooth
I went to Queensland for the first time this year In January, and we bought a week pass to Movie World, Sea World, and Wet n Wild. When we went to Movie World, I had never been on an actually roller coaster, so I decided to go on the Hyper Coaster as my first! Let’s just say I loved it! And we did it another two times. The whole day was amazing, and we convinced my mum to go on the Superman ride, which was hilarious! Lucky enough, our second last day at Queensland, we had nothing to do, so I asked if we could go to Movie World AGAIN, And we did! So ya, that was my experience 🙃
its scary but insanely fun, had such on this ride! anyone else out there, if you can go on this ride then do not miss the opportunity, you only live once!
That's what I though at first... 😊 but I think its the park filming it before hours and that they stuck a camera to the front... U know cus there's no people there and no screaming or noise
It’s empty cuz it was before it opened and they did cuz it was a test run and also if you get permission for it u can but it’s very hard to get permission
For anyone who is planning to go on this but is scared of roller coasters, listen here. I was petrified of this, but I felt pressured to do it cause it would be my only chance for a couple years. I ended up going on it and closing my eyes the whole way up. I opened my eyes on the drop and HOLY, it was amazing. It honestly felt like I was flying. And the rest of the ride is so smooth and fun, it’s so good! I really recommended this for anyone, even if u don’t like rides like this. It’s a really great experience ❤
Same I was TERRIFIED at the start bc I had just been on superman for my first ever roller coaster and that was really scary to I was rlly scared for this but it was soo worth it and so fun!!
Lmao I went on it today and ended up throwing up 20 mins later😂😂 shit was crazy I was lifting up in my seat and just when id hold on for dear life as I’d lift in the seat, it would spin upside down and I’d lose my grip😂😂😂😂 I was out for the rest of the day, besides the road runner😂😂😂
I just did this too, I have never been on any type of roller coaster. This was the most intense thing I have ever done. Truly unbelievable!! It is now two days later and I'm still getting vertigo.
Went on it Christmas Eve 2017, that G-force when it drops is nothing I have ever experienced before! I’m glad I went on it first, the other rides have nothing on that “Drop”!! 2nd craziest was Superman so fast!
story time- I went to fright night with my best friend (as we do every year) and we got there super early just for this ride, we waited and waited and when they finally let us start 'walking to the ride' everyone started pushing in shoving but we still got in quick. We got the second ride and let me tell you its FUCKING AMAZING! I've been on it twice, and it is even better at night time!
@@michaeledwards8058 That's cool! I respect your work. I wanted to do one of the rollercoaster technician apprenticeships Movie World offer but figure you'd be pretty limited in your scope of work.
This is hands down the best rollercoaster you will ever go on! Makes superman feel like a baby coaster. It is exhilarating, and the ride goes on for a lengthy amount of time. It's smooth AF and doesn't give you a break the whole way through. The constant thrill is so awesome!
I went today, it had technical difficulties on the 2nd time and didn't know if I could go again. Then it opened and I went two more times! Sooooo amazing. If you go to movie world, you must go here! It's not nearly as bad as it looks so don't hesitate!
One of the best hypers out there. Smooth, fast, interesting elements and just a total joy to ride time after time. Mack pulled out all the stops and are now giving Intamin & even B&M a run for their money. Watch more pop up...
@@boltgaming248 I was thinking more of the traditional out and back steel hypers - the likes of Hyperion and the numerous B&Ms. The best RMC hybrids are in a class of their own, but also hard to compare to anything else because they are so different in so many ways. Not had the pleasure of Gwazi yet but it’s in my top 10 bucket list around the world along with Zadra, Velocicoaster, Fury 325, Ride To Happiness to name a few. Eejanaika is in my current number 1 spot and will take a lot to beat. I cannot wait for my US trip probably next year now 🤩
If you're afraid of kiddy coasters, reconsider going on this ride. I prepared for this ride before I rode it. I watched the povs, a million times. I memorised basically everything this ride did. I believed a lie (that I created) that watching a pov makes it less scary. Let me tell you. A pov shows you what the ride looks like, but not the intensity of it. I rode it twice. The first time I had my eyes closed and I was so scared, and the second time I rode in the front, waited in line for more than an our (and also singing to relieve the pain) and kept my eyes open, omg this is phenomenal. Best coaster I have ridden on. Period.
I THOUGHT IT WAS A TOTALL RIPPPPP. I DID NOT ENJOY THIS AT ALL!!! I WAS SO BORED I WENT ON MY FACEBOOK THE WHOLE RIDE, GO LIKE MY RECENT PIC FOR A SHOUT OUT ( it’s pretty smexy ) 😉😏😒🍔
I saw a kid maybe like 9 go on it backwards by himself. When I was that old I would never do something like that. Well even today I couldn't do it backwards
i went on this ride for a school trip and my friends and i went into the single riders line cause it was a smaller wait, it was our first time on this ride ever. i was front row by myself
I went on it and it was the *BEST!!!* My first time on a PROPER roller coaster (I live in Sydney and the only “roller coaster” we have is the wild mouse [after Dreamworld took our Big Dipper]) and I got the *FRONT ROW SEAT!!!* I *ABSOLUTELY LOVE* the hyper coaster! 🇦🇺❤️😀👍
Hello, I was wondering whether I'd be able to use small clips from this footage in a video I'm creating. I would of course credit you in the video itself, and if the description. Thanks for your time. :)
Just home from riding it today - huge queues on Good Friday. One of the most insane + awesome rides ever. The first drop is crazy - so steep and fast - and the ride goes for a looong time - awesome !
W Christman becuz America should have their own roller coaster like this, because Australia has this ride for tourists and America should have one of their own
Anyone worried about going on this ride - It’s one of the most funniest rides I’ve ever been on and you feel super dooper accomplished after going on it!
Im (hopefully) going on this on sunday. Now i want to but i feel like i am going to chicken out. Can someone like tell me what the drop part is like and if im not 100% sure about going on it like give me suggestions plz lolll. Helpppppppp. My main concern is the drop at the start, the rest i think ill be able to handle. (First time going on the joker ride)
It's really scary and commiting your first time but if you just do it it will be fine I did it 4 years ago when I was 8 with my dad and I was super nervous and after that I found it so fun and I wouldn't stop going on it the whole day
Went on this today! One of the scariest and most awesome rides I've ever been on! The slow rise up top gets you sweating and thinking you want to get off but it's too damn late! The first drop was terrifying, then after that it's pretty chill
I just went on it today for my 13th birthday, front seat first coaster I’ve been on, it was fucking awesome, to anyone who is scared to go on this, it is 100% safe, and 1000% fun, very loud too
i went on this ride last month and all ive got to say that its super fun, if you want even more of a thrill going backwards is super fun, going up you hang off your seat but when you fall backwards you literally get pulled all the way down since you are the last cart and all the other carts pull you forward therefore having a faster and longer drop 10/10
First time on this ride for me was in the dark and rain. It was movie worlds night time Christmas magic, my friend screamed all the way as we had the back seats.
Never seen car park so empty. I went on this ride and sat at the back. Coming back on the slow bit we were rubbing the back of our heads because the back people go backwards and our heads were banging on the seat
Best coaster ever!! Seats hug you tightly and are so comfortable so when this thing throws you around it feels like your flying but never feels like youre going to fly off or bang your head like in the escape coaster
I rode this and feel like a baddie now 🤣 I was really intimidated by the drop but it’s not that bad this is the smoothest, best roller coaster you’ll ever go on!
I used to go movie world pretty often when I live on the Gold Coast but I moved to New Zealand a few years ago. Last time I was at movie world I saw them constructing this ride and it looked fun. I can’t wait to go back and ride it

they should make this at 3 Six Flags Parks 1. Six Flags Magic Mountain (Why: Goliath is a stupid B&M Knockoff) 2. Six Flags Over Texas (Why: Same as above) 3. Six Flags St. Louis (Why: No Hyper Coaster) Honorable Mentions - 1. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (Why: Height limits) 2. Six Flags New Orleans (Why: Abandoned) 3. La Ronde (Why: Park does not have DC and Goliath is good enough)
