Recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it. I really, really, really hope this movie is a success. For this to be the unofficial start of James Gunn's DCU, this NEEDS to deliver greatly, and people have to support this. By the way, the voice of the Scarab is played by singer Becky G (aka Trini from the 2017 Power Rangers movie).

I have bad feeling about this. So far it doesnt look very good. Humor is clearly aimed at even younger audience than Shazam + all the visuals - suit designs of main character and villains, cinematography & choreography of the moves shown so far gives more 'cw show' vibes, than 'movie' vibes unfortunately. I hope Im wrong, but it doesnt look like something an adult could unironically enjoy. I hope its just bad marketing and actual movie delivers.

Hey guys, man I'm so look forward to this film. I hate to be that guy Hector but to be a nerd I have to say that the first time the word "Cabrón" was used was in X Men First Class when Magneto is in Argentina and the bar tender pulls out a gun on him. It only because I'm Mexican that I was able to catch that on first viewing and I remember it.

Samus from Metroid over here as the villain! Can't wait for this one! This is all I (and many others) have been waiting from Marvel, but DC ended up doing. Love the Hispanic/Mexican family dynamics! Yeah, we love Namor and the Talocan lore, but THIS is what we needed, the contemporary familia! Agustin on point with the Ms. Marvel reference, I said the same when we got the first Blue Beetle teaser.

This looks fun, but whew they showed A LOT! We’ve seen elements and themes like this before with Ironman, Spidey, and Venom…however, Xolo has that X factor that might elevate this movie to another level. On top of that, it feels so good to be able to take my daughter (who’s half Latino) to see a film that represents apart of her culture! Will definitely be at the theater opening night

I got a chance to congratulate him in person for his casting of Blue Beetle back at the season 5 premier of Cobra Kai they had in Los Angeles last year. Such a nice all-around kid (like the rest of the Cobra Kai kids--I also told Dallas Dupree, who plays "Kenny Payne" that I wished he was cast as the live action Miles Morales, to which he fist bumped me and said he hoped so as well!)

I am happy to see that Xolo as the first latino to play a DC comics superhero in a movie, plus seeing George Lopez in there, I have to go see it. Seeing Xolo go from Cobra Kai to Blue Beetle is awesome and since I’m part latino it is an honor to see him play a superhero in the DC. Glad he took a break from Cobra Kai to make this movie and still excited for season 6 of Cobra Kai as well

Cabron was used in _X-Men First Class_ but we won't count that lol. The scene where Magneto goes to a bar in Argentina, which people have pointed out does not make sense because apparently Argentinians don't say 'cabron' at all

I think they were given additional funding to punch it up for theatres after test screenings & they said we want it on the big screen. The Antagonist looks a bit weak character wise from this trailer, but the kid is perfect to play Blue Beetle. No matter how well or not well this film does, since the strike doesn't help it, i look forward to seeing him as Blue Beetle in Gunn's upcoming DCU!

People who have seen Batgirl said it was a dumpster fire beyond saving, WB scrapped it to save the DC brand (A brand that was failing). It was the correct business decision. I don’t understand why people pretend that they wanted to see that movie since day one, no one cared about a batgirl movie until it was cancelled. 🙄

Yes this is the first CHARACTER of the DCU but this isn’t the first MOVIE. I hope that means Xolo is going to continue and this isn’t just an intro to the character only to be recast.

First of all, shame on you Hector for not watching Cobra Kai. I'm going to be jealous that you are going to have the opportunity to watch it for the 1st time! That being said, I wish nothing but for the World of Xolo Maridueña to blow up as I believe and everybody on here that he is raising a star in Hollywood! Unfortunately, with Actor Strike, they can't promote it and I feel a lot of the casual audience probably doesn't know that this movie exists. It's a new superhero that the Casual audience isn't familiar with, and there is some real fatigue being expressed with these films. I hope that I'm wrong cause this film looks like it's going to be fun.

I really hope this movie does become a big box office hit, because if it does, we might end up getting more movies like it where Latinos are the lead characters instead of stereotypical background characters and the stories don't revolve around immigration, drugs, and gangs which nearly every story featuring Latinos in the spotlight always revolve around those things and also that it'll end up being the big convincer for Marvel Studios to finally announce their first Latino-led movie in the MCU since nothing else has convinced them to announce it so far which I'm hoping it ends up being a Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider movie so that it could be the tonal opposite for Blue Beetle and Ghost Rider is arguably more well-known to the general audiences than Blue Beetle currently is for the moment.

Love the channel..great overviews......How come I get "Predator vibes" with this hero depiction. I sort of expect Shane Black credits to flash across the screen. I'm only hoping for the best for this franchise. DC needs a win...for a change after Shazam 2,Black Adam..and sadly Flash. Why can't the writers get the formula correct? With the writers/actors strike...I really hope for a decent screenplay and some suppressed humor. A.I. is scary enough without IT trying to be Robin Williams. Why don't you guys write a screenplay and send it in to DC?

Unfortunately it seems to be aimed at much younger audience than even Shazam movies (looking at all the jokes, like grandma character that shows out of knowhere and wasnt seen at all before with minigun just suppose to be hilarious appareantly, or cutting the bus in half and him acting 'worried' mid cut which is supposed to be funny, even though we all know its unlikely he wouldnt kill anyone in situation like this - it defies common sense and is confusing at best, not 'fun'). All the effects, cinematography, suit designs, choreography shown so far gives off massive 'cw show with slightly higher budget and more time added, but still not enough" vibes. Sorry, just being honest. I know this movie means a lot to a lot of people as its first blue beetle live action and main actor being of different nationality than another 'white dude named Chris', but it unfortunately looks like 'straight to dvd' quality so far, which is dissapointing...

tbh this looks like the most generic superhero movie ever and I was never a fan of those "I can do whatever you can imagine" suites, I didn't like it with the Green Lantern movie and I didn't like it with Infinity War & Endgame Iron man, it's always a bit lame ... all that being said, that trailer looks fun! I'm the whitest dude ever, I'm so fucking German it's embarassing, so seeing those family dynamics of different cultures makes me so happy because it makes not only the superhero world biugger, but also my personal world. Augustine spoke about Ms. Marvel where the family dynamic was the most fun part of the show and I hope too, that Blue Beetle leans into that as well. I'm excited to see that movie!
