Today we take a look at the range of solder free plug and play stay alives from the DCCconcepts range designed with native support for the Zen black and Zen blue plus decoders. The variety pack offers one each of all four sizes available and is a great starting point to find which sizes work best for your loco fleet.
In this video we show you four different example fittings of the Stay Alive to common model locomotives and show you just how easy the solder free plug and play harnesses are to use. Our Stay Alives also don't need complicated changing of CV settings to work, unlike other brands!
We also produce an adapter harness to allow use of these Stay Alives with other brands that support three wire charging.

When fitting stay alive & bringing a loco to a controlled standstill does this then have to be compensated for?

As per my normal comments how does this technology fit into the second most popular model scale - N Gauge? Or is N Gauge left in the cold x again?

The stay alives can be attached to any Zen Black and Blue+ decoders. Therefore any N gauge model with one of these decoders attached can then have the stay alives fitted subject to available space in the model.

@@JenniferEKirk Thanks Jennifer for your response, it is appreciated. Unfortunately in regard to space for an N Gauge DCC shunter, the availability of a brand new DCC Shunter at the moment is sometime in the future with the anticipated price hike Take care Peter

Just started my first N gauge layout with my first two purchased DCC locos arriving today. So this looks interesting. I’ve come from Z gauge. @Peter Brown - if you think N is poorly represented you want to try Z . It’s hopeless in all but the basics. Mind you I’d like to see DCC concepts organise a stay alive to fit in a Z loco. Be useful if they could. Z trains are inherently jerky and stop easily.
