For everyone who is angry. No matter how fast they put it out. You will need to wait years before it's actually done/complete or even majority of systems to be finished. I feel your frustration more then anyone but if you've been around a decade. You'd know this is standard practice. If ed would every learn they would stop announcing projects until they at bare minimum 3 months from release. If you think that's bad. They have the ground work to make this an AIR/SEA/LAND sim. But they won't pull their heads out of their arse.
The way I see it, you can put it out fast or you can put it out ready. This project has taken ages and will still be missing multiple important weapon systems. On top of that early access footage has shown a lousy sound model and poor optimization for pc.
@@ascherlafayette8572 I wasn’t talking about the strike eagle, as for that they probably should’ve kept silent about it until it’s ready same as any module. One teaser is enough but to do pre orders etc with no release is scummy. On top of that have an unfinished module for years.
06:25 That record feature is the much wanted feature. Wished from ED to implement it for decade, and it is now Razbam that managed to actually make it to come, after people wished the AV-8B Harrier would have had it. That needs to be feature in everything, as it is key component for the RECON flights. Where we should be able to get a cold war recon pods for some planes (Viggen, MiG-21 etc) and fly over the expected target area and hit weapon release button to start RECpod to start taking screenshots at proper time/rate. And then have automatic system in DCS, that will separately mark the JPEG files in the capture directory that has a recognizable Unit ID in camera field of view. So player can then later check the JPEG files for finding the unit there manually. Or that the system can automatically use such to generate the mission briefing and import the JPEG back from the area. Think about it for while. First you read a intelligence report that units should be in area of 10 x 5 km sized in given area. And then go flying there at low and fast the recon mission. Hit record in area overpass, and return back to base. Now you will get the system generate you the next mission briefing, the units that are in frames inside a camera FOV on capture moment, gets marked by type (as Petrovich) for "Armor", "Truck", "SAM", "Radar" and so on. The players will get the JPEG pictures in the area to look at, and then use them to create the own mission for a strike. Or have a automatic mission creation with flightplan, weapon loadout and amount of fighters. The AI will fly such a mission, but player can at any given time jump to any of flight members to be part of it.
Ah yes, the laser range limit in DCS... And not just the arbitrary 8 naut limit, but the fact that (at least the last time I checked) it was modeled as basically an 8 naut long invisible stick, so could end in mid-air. Buddy lasing for another plane could have their laser spot track lock onto a point hundreds of meters in the air if the designating plane accidentally got too far from the target... =)
I think they said something like 3 more videos then release, so that's this video, probably a cold start video and a takeoff-landing one. this is just an educated guess and delays are always possible as with every module release. idt there any major systems that haven't been covered by these videos yet so i guess we'll see. edit: having just wached the video he says there'll be an A-G tutorial too.
Looks like it's coming together nicely. So many systems to learn! Personally I've already paid up and I'd rather have a good product at launch than get it too soon with problems. If I get impatient I can just fire up DCS and finally learn some F-16 workflows to relieve the boredom.
@@getsideways7257 you know how many people that are impatient now would go absolutely nuts if Razbam released without enough time in the oven, right? "I want the toys now" turns into "you jerks gave me broken toys" real fast.
I don't plan on getting this module but I'm really excited for the guys that are going to fly her. Looks like Razbam really knocked it out of the park with this one............HURRY AND RELEASE IT ALREADY!!!!!!
They (and a good portion of the community) believe that if the module was held in the internal testing limbo for decades, it will magically become bug-free on release :) Except we all have very different computers and software combinations, so that's pretty idiotic. Polychop is probably never going to release the Kiowa at all. But those guys are probably unable to produce something not overly bugged in the first place.
17:24 When you laser-designate the last tank with the TPOD, the target designation on the RDR jumps to the center of the tank line, which is not where the TPOD has designated. Is that a bug or intentional?
Was wondering about that too, and was a bit worried/confused by how he was trying to designate the tank in black hot mode (so tank was black) while using the white contrast targeting mode.
I had understood pretty much everything could be done as the pilot, but you keep changing to the back seat rather than controlling the pod from the pilot position. Is this a limitation on function or do you do it just for familiarity etc?
i believe hes simply trying to show from the seat that is intended to do it. bombs would normally be delivered from the back seat, so he delivers them from there.
ED keep saying it's out soon to rush people to pre-order. Then they show a list as long as an arm for things remaining that are 'progressing well'' .....
On the armament page, is that a custom font (hand written looking font)? Any chance we can get that font for our personal projects? Like printing labels and backgrounds for the TM MFDs I searched a ton of time for the B1 font (as shown in some video online but couldnt find it)
Not all the HOTAS functions, since front seat lacks the necessary number of hats, but you definitely will be able to operate the TGP and assorted systems from the front seat. Redundancy redundancy redundancy.
Would somebody tell Ranger Ram Jet here that he is not briefing actual combat pilots. Remind him that he is talking to civilians, gamers, flight sim fans, combat sim fans, students, etc. Take some tutorial clues from Wags of Eagle Dynamics and turn off the Jar Head... Please!
Yesterday I was doing some GBU bombing and my laser was in safe mode, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to arm it. I went into the WSO position and armed it but it still showed up as SAFE and didnt work at all. What am I missing?
Any idea when the Auto bombing mode will be fixed? Literally every time I designate, lase, and drop a GBU it always goes beyond the designated target. Every single time. The main function of the damn module doesn't even work lmao. I've tried so many times.
@@chukuma4760 Um, this was announced 6 years go. Or at least mentioned, lol. There is regular patience and there is Monk like patience. We began monk like patience like 3 years ago, lol.
@@chukuma4760 No doubt. I'm still waiting for the P51s guns to get fixed. I want the entire 9 yds, not 8, lol. Like the OP I cant wait for the Phantom either.
What's the significance of ATRK or PTRK being boxed or not? After you designate a target they remain unboxed, but sometimes they are boxed as you are moving the TPOD around, so what's the difference?
at 17:21, when designating, the radar jumps off target by about 15 meters down. INS drift, or an actual issue / bug? It could be worrying if this is not due to INS drift or natural deviance when f.ex. using JDAM's. Clarification would be nice :-)
the air to ground mapping on this plane is insane. Looks like some 2020 tech going on honestly insane you are doing this all and pulling it off like this. impressive
Well, that's Synthetic Radar Aperture for you. Not really anything new, but still one of the things that impresses me about radars the most anyway. You might want to also look up ISAR, but I don't think we'll ever see that in a sim.
Pretty sure they don’t have the AI set up at all yet. I feel like these videos are what they are working on at the time. The module ain’t gonna be released for another year I bet.
так мили вроде никогда нельзя было тратить на предзаказ. А так, если хотел страйк игл, то лучше щас возьми, потому что на него потом долго скидок не будет.
It's NOT the 'Hypotenuse'. . it's the BASE leg of the triangle. Hypotenuse is the length from the airborne aircraft, direct line, to the target. BASE leg is the GROUND distance, which is what you NEED to know, between a spot directly under the aircraft and the target. And this guy was an OFFICER in the USAF????? I am suitably UNimpressed.
