Okay, I need a question answered if I may. APG-70 radar in the F-15E, using the A/G mode. When I start increasing in altitude, my ground returns start appearing as just a wide strip across the display. This strip can be adjusted in range in and out by adjusting the beam angle up and down. Now, I am a retired aviation maintenance technician that specialized in avionics, both military and civilian. So, I know how a radar works. I can understand how a radar might operate this way. I see the A/G radar operate this way in a couple other DCS aircraft; the M-2000C Mirage and the F-1 Mirage do this as well. But then I go and fly other jets with A/G radar, and I get something very different. At altitude, the A/G radars in the FA-18C, the F-16C, and the JF-17 all show ground returns for the entire range. I was in an FA-18 just north of the Strait of Hormuz at 36,000 feet. I had the A/G radar on 160-mile range. I had returns for pretty much the entire range except for obviously the first couple miles. The F-16 and JF-17 are the same way. Now, in my US Navy days, I worked on an aircraft that had the old APS-130 search radar. It's basically a stripped-down version of the APQ-148 bombing radar in the old A-6E Intruder. Anyway, I never got to see the thing operate except for once in a while we would point it off the side of the ship and turn it on and we could pick up most of the rest of the carrier group. But that was from 90 feet off the water. So, I don't honestly know how it looked at altitude. So, obviously my question is... why do some radars like the afore-mentioned F-15E have just a relatively narrow strip of returns across the A/G radar at altitude, and some have ground returns throughout the entire range even at altitude? These radars were all developed around the same time period, more or less. Do they actually work that way or is it just the way they are modelled in DCS?
I would love to have one of these in my DCS Collection. From what I understand Razbam, the creator, and Eagle Dynamics are fighting about something and the customer is paying the price by not getting the upgrades originally promised.
I don’t really know if the situation with ED and RAZBAM has been solved yet but does anyone think we might ever get the AV-8B+ because let’s be honest that’s the Harrier that everyone actually wants. It’s better looking. It’s got a radar and AMRAAMS. Just epic.
Updated DCS to the latest stable version yesterday, now every time I start DCS I get a popup message stating the F15E module is no longer authorized. It still shows as installed, but no longer is an available aircraft. Anyone else had their F15E disabled?
@RAZBAM why has my f15e and other products I've bought from you show as a virus and made unplayable? I own/bought all products you guys have made since the company first started. You took away products I paid for! That's theft!!!
To buying any Razbam product it´s like thhrowing your money away. I only have MIG-19, but people who bought South Atlantic or Mirage...ufff the are really pissed off. Sorry buddies... Razbam= Thiefs
MiG-19 and M-2000C are all feature complete, that means it has all of the features promised, I don’t know how you could consider that throwing your money in the trash, furthermore South Atlantic is still seeing support by RAZBAM (this is unrelated to the ED-RB, supposed IP theft conflict apparently)
can you explain how RAZBAM are the thiefs in this situation? ED is stealing every cent that came out of the F-15E, in front of your own eyes, they don’t even deny it, that means RAZBAM employees can’t support the F-15E module anymore because they don’t get revenue from it, shocker, if no revenue = no money, if no money? no food, no rent?
Zambrano is an i@dot. "im pro market". Anyone who claims to be anti socialist and pro market liberal, is gonna screw you, and him too. . They are just kids of 40 years old playing a game that didnt know: grown up.
Got the F-15E since pre-order and tried it once or twice just to see how it performed but stayed at AV8B and use F-15 for later to learn. At this point in the Playlist, it seems nearly impossible to come from AV8 to F-15E without watching this or reading all the manual. Some things are similar but most are not :D Good videos!!!!!
@@cornelius2993yes something from 2019 that is related to module quality controversies is relevant with an IP theft claim and ED taking module revenue from RAZBAM (literally embezzlement)
Guys, we all see stuff about the dispute with ED, how about telling us the true position on support for Harrier, MIG19 etc ?. I am not getting Mirage 2000 until I know what is happening.
Abandon it, sure 🤣🤣, RAZBAM themselves literally said they are WILLING to return to work with the Strike Eagle once this issue sees a resolution, I.e. all of the revenue (from everyone, including both of us, clicking that buy button, and buying the module for 63.99) goes to RAZBAM
@@tamcat5938 that’s not how any of this works, the overall module revenue goes through Eagle Dynamics first, they take their % cut, then that revenue goes to RAZBAM, iirc weekly/monthly, what happened is that ED didn’t give that money to RAZBAM and kept it to themselves fyi
I just heard through another channel you're pulling the plug on ED? That mean the F15-E is not going to get any further support? That's really terrible news. Honestly I'm crushed. Just tell them to hike up the module costs. Everyone's gotta eat. VR is right on the cusp of being fully viable at maximum resolution and they're about to make waves in the franchise before it's likely to get a massive leap in exposure. The stats are going up right now thanks in large part to a bunch of people now putting out some great content.
Nah bro. It is in fact the decade of the Strike Eagle for me. If you think I'm playing or being cheeky, I've Flow the Mirage F1 for less than five hours while showing a buddy how to use it. I'm on DCS for hours a day, at least four nights a week (according to my partner who seemed as thought she was conservative 😅) and I'm sat in the mud hen, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. No JTIDS, no Problem. I don't need no JHMCS (but I'll take it and the sniper pod when your ready, I'll wait) and I'm certainly not worried about agm-88s. I am the HARM, and I brought more jdams than anything else could hope for. People are excited for the wild weasle campaign and ya boy is here offering up iron hand suppression and having a WAAAAYYYY better time doing it than I ever did flying the viper, hornet, tomcat, really anything in the sim. There may be some bugs (which module doesn't have the 😂) and they are certainly massaging it into the perfection it is to become upon full release, and that makes me only the more impressed with everything this demon can bring to the skies and rain down on earth. WELL DONE RABAM, WELL DONE 🎩
1. Exterior sound glitches, and sounds very tame compared to other DCS modules 2. Interior sounds too quite, and canopy makes no noise when closing/opening 3. PLEASE add a WSO. I think without one the plane just doesn’t operate the way it should. These are all things that I would love to see updated and added, respectfully.
