Considering the game has much that predates GPS, the fact you can always add some sort of GPS jamming mechanic, and the fact you can eventually get a global map means this is for sure worth the effort and knowledge base it will build for future modules.
The Black Shark 3 has a good example of an INS with a lot of drift and manually realignment of position. It is a very frustrating part of flying it, but definitely an important part of simulating the model. So nice to see that level of realism coming to th F16.
I’m pretty sure you can turn GPS off in the mission editor, simulating a GPS denied environment. I love that ED and 3rd party devs develop realistic ins systems. Brings a whole new challenge to the game.
Love your SitRep vids PHH, been following you for a good while now and you have got a great balance of VID length and information that keeps me up to date with the latest info on DCS. Loved to see your reaction to trying out VR for the first time, will be building a new top spec PC soon and using it with my motion rig and VR for the first time also, so great to see someone else reaction to being in VR going from 2D only.
I haven't decided if I will be getting the chinook considering I already own the MI-8, I will be getting the kiowa and I already own the afghanistan map, I am very excited to fly not only the Kiowa but also the Hind over afghanistan as im sure we'll get scenarios based around the soviet-afghan war
