Just watched your mission 11, very impressive flying and situational awareness. I was shot down countless times while testing that mission. You’re definitely ready for beware beware :)

Thanks so much! Yeah I thought the same when testing this campaign: we have 100s of hours in the sim-Spit, how could you possibly survive this in real life with ony a dozen or so hours? With real bullets flying…

I am flying this in VR, and I was sweating. 😅 As a Iraq veteran and now a commercial pilot, it’s daunting to think that, not only you have to fly the plane keep everything in check, but also secure that you’re not getting shot down nor shooting down a friendly in the mass chaos. Yeah, well, it wouldn't be for Spits for sure. The Channel map is already a stretch for it fuel-wise :) But it would be cool for longer USAAF missions.

They didn’t escort Lancaster raids like this, not at night anyway - they did send out a host of subsidiary operations alongside each bomber attack, eg prowl the skies with radar-armed Mosquito night fighters and Intruder ops (basically lurking around Luftwaffe bases hoping to catch aircraft scrambling).

If you skip to the action that would make it an instant action mission, wouldn't it? :) skipping stages/ save points are extremely hard and cumbersome to implement from within the editor, but if ED finds a way to implement it into the core game that would be cool.

@@ReflectedSimulations Yeah I’ve found it strangely hard when it comes to takeoff and landing. Had no problem with the other birds but that one is something else :) One of my favourites too.

I use icons because I'm watching things on a small laptop screen. IRL I can spot aircraft at the same distance as in game with dot icons. Visibility depends a lot on your monitor/ VR set, so I do not want to enforce those settings. However, navigational skills don't depend on them ;) In real life navigation was an important part of these missions. Finding your way home, low on fuel. If that's a deal breaker for you, then no, this is probably not the right campaign for you. Then again, as I also mentioned in the video, you don't have to RTB, it's enough to make it back over friendly territory. And finding England is not a very difficult task even without F10 icons. Not to mention the fact that most of the time you'll be following other Spits, you're not gonna lead the wing. You'd be surprised how much it can increase the fun factor when you're put a little outside your comfort zone.
