I'm back at it in Nevada on the Burning Skies US Command Center Server in the Strike Eagle. Today I push north of Nellis and work on an area designated as Bunkerville. I make use of the Strike Eagle's powerful ground search radar to locate and fix an enemy SAM radar.
I mix it up with an elusive F-5, blast an enemy transport out of the sky and make life miserable for enemy ground units.
I hope you enjoy!
Oh, there was a bit of a jump scare at the start of the mission. Scared the crap out of me anyway.

LOL Yeah that was tense! I normally don't do the brake hold and ramp to afterburner but that day I did. Had I not, I would have been further down the runway and splat. Also, I was working on a gentle liftoff this time (the Strike Eagle has a tendency to nose up due to take off trim). Again, that would have had me right where he was. It's all good though! I survived!

@@StrIIker-TV without that nose dip you might've lost your vertical stabs! I always immediately put in a second or two of nose down trim after rotate, she wants to fly.. Side note, how do you ghost your stick without making it completely invisible? seems like a nice middle ground. Is that in the special settings or something?

By the way.. You've been making some great videos! Keep them coming! You've got a great eye for crafting those shots and editing it together.

@@mondomando3393 Yes! I'm still surprised that I didn't have some impact due to latency or whatever. Also happy about no jet wash effects on the server because that would have been... interesting so low to the ground. As for the controls, there's an option in the special settings for ghost controls. Once enabled, you just click the stick and it goes into ghost mode and you can then click buttons through it. Same with the throttle. I generally intend to fly with the pilot body visible for the videos but I often forget to turn it back on once I get the jet ready. You need the body out of the way to set some stuff on the side console for the pilot and WSO. I have a voice attack command defined to turn the pilot on and off which really helps. I wish there was some setting they could implement where the body ghosts or moves the arm when you look down and move the mouse cursor over the arm etc.

@@StrIIker-TV I only recently started flying with the pilot body for cinematics. It's surprisingly immersive, especially seeing your shadow cast across the cockpit. Awesome tips! I've been trying to hop into burning skies here and there, I'm enjoying it, but haven't caught you out in the wild yet!

Hah! You aren’t the first to say that. If I sound similar, it’s not intentional. I do watch his content and it’s amazing stuff. I try to be relaxed, make it enjoyable to watch and hear me chat about what’s happening and I like to give details to give context and information about what’s happening and why and I think that’s his approach as well so the delivery probably has some similarities. I do take it as a big compliment though so thank you!
