Can't switch artifacts????? You realize how stupid that is? We have to be able to switch because what's the point in having more than 3 good artifacts in the game if you can't utilize them

@@Keinsinghman seems like you never played ANY other MMO… it’s totally normal that you cannot switch gear in fight, it makes no sense that you can do it with artefacts in DCUO. It’s like you could switch legendarys and trinkets mid fight in WoW, it’s just stupid to even think about it.

Animation kicks in instantly but the damage is done slowly, like almost a tick per second. But when you are soloing, you can quickly go into whip thrash from Minigun to do burst damage and kill the adds faster. Or use Melee loadout for openworld solo missions. Hope this helps =)

@@iEddyGaming I also wondered about the actual damage when you transition/clip. For example, when you clip Minigun with Whipthrash, Minigun damage doesn't keep ticking. So a normal minigun damage does 5 ticks. Clipped does 2 ticks. Similarly, Whipthrash does 4 hits. Clipped does 2. And Lightblast animation can't be clipped for the 35% damage to keep ticking right? The adds can attack while you're standing there. What do you think of this rotation for Range attack? Snap Trap -> Light Blast -> Mini Gun -> Snap Trap and keep on doing that. It will keep the toon in a distance and do the range attack. Would you be able to compare that damage with the range AOE you proposed and see the damage comparison?

Hardlight is chained combos power but you need to understand that its not about getting all the ticks but to get the best damage in quickest rotation. First few ticks are always better, crits more. The chained combo minigun will do less damage than superpower minigun. Its how the developers have changed it over the years. I have been playing hardlight for over 8 years now so it's a muscle memory for me. The fluidity in switching between different combo powers is great. You can go from melee to range and mid range to melee all from chaining, without having to have the powers on your bar. My Range loadout's main damage components are Light Blast and Mini Gun. It depends on you how you switch from one power to another. My damage parser numbers are on the screen, you can compare them with yours. Your loadout is similar but snap trap is ST now AoE so you will be losing damage in add situation.

@@iEddyGaming So getting through the rotation has more value than waiting for the ticks to complete? Trying to do it right. I tested with Snap Trap and seems your rotation does higher damage than my suggestion. But I waited for the ticks to complete in my rotation including doing whip thrash twice.

Some animations you need to let them tick, some you can clip. First 3-4 ticks of miniguns are more than enough. Whipthrash can be clipped. Light blast, let it finish the animation. With practice and time, you will automatically switch and clip powers and u will know exactly when the animation is about to end.

You can use Impact instead of Ram. Impact power, hold range for light blast combo.

Gadgets is top. Munitions is great too. If you have maxed out stats, gear and very high SP, then yes, Hardlight will overpower them in numbers if used correctly. 😊

Nope. If you will do chain combos, the damage is not increased. That's why we have to do maximum of one chain combo and then use a new power to get the most out of it. 😊

Sorry man! Light is all about combos and clipping. You can skip the clipping but you will still have to do combos. Damage will reduce overall a bit though.

Understandable. 😁 It is a combo system basically. If you go to your superpower menu, click on each power to see what combos you can do. Then it is all about doing combos for each power you will press from your loadout bar. It might take some time to get used to it but once you will, it is probably the most fun power to play in dcuo. 😊

That's my loadout in my 2020 video. 😊 I didn't want to use whirling dervish or any superspeed related power so here we are.

It drops in both regular and elite. But more chances to get it in Elite. Drops usually at last boss. Trust me I ran 100+ times to get it while my friend who ran with me, got it 15 times. Its RnG. Good luck 😁

Once you have unlocked the weapon under the skill tree with skill points, make sure you own the weapon which you want to switch to. If you don't have it, you can buy it from the Episode vendor or hope for the weapon box to drop from the boss fights. Then simply equip it.

Hi Jared! I would suggest you stay Dps until atleast CR100. Focus on feats and skill points, getting CR up is easy, you can be above CR350 within few days. But you are gonna need that damage to do so 😁

Yes definitely. Since you are a new player, use the gear which drops and only buy vendor gear to get feats and to push your CR to unlock next DLC. Once you reach end-game / latest DLC, buy the support role gear. Save Nth metal, so when the 2x bonus Artifacts event hit, you can level up your required artifacts more easily.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, it is normal. In the beginning, you power pool is very small because of the gear you are wearing. Once you get stronger, get higher gear, get maxed out artifacts, get maxed out augments, highest level power base mods, league buff and atleast 480 skill points, all these things will contribute towards a big power pool.

Because of the whipthrash combo

Step One; Get an Assassin Time Capsule. Time Capsules drop roughly every 20 minutes in the game when you defeat ANY enemy NPC in the game. Step Two; Open Assassin Time Capsules until you get an Artificer Capsule. There is a random chance to get one of 3 Capsules in the Assassin Time Capsule.... one Abyssal Gear Capsule for the Black Manta Gear.... one Collection Capsule for the Collections for the Court of Owl Mask/Shadow Cloak/ and one Artificer Capsule The Artificer Capsule is the one you want if you want the Eyes of Dusk and the New Artifacts. Step Three; Open the Artificer Capsule The very first time you open an Artificer Capsule you will gain a feat..... then you will need to wait. After a while.... you will receive a Mail by your friend Ra's Al Ghul where Ra's will give you the Eyes of the Dusk. The Eyes of the Dusk come as an attachment in the Mail.... so get the Attachment. Step Four; Consume the Eyes of the Dusk Once you get the attachment from Ra's Mail..... the Eyes of the Dusk should be in your inventory. So.... just consume it. Step Five; Equip the Eyes of the Dusk style Once you have consumed the Eyes of the Dusk.... you need to equip the Eyes of the Dusk style on your character to be able to get the components you will need to get the new Artifact. Step Six; Go defeat enemies Once you have the Eyes of the Dusk style equipped.... go defeat ANY enemy NPCs until you get the components for the Artifacts. There is 3 components... one for each new Artifacts.... and you can only get one of each component per day. You must equip the Eyes of the Dusk style to get the Components for the Artifacts. Step Seven; Get 10 Components for each Artifact One you get 10 of each Components..... you should get the New Artifact that goes with that Component. Since you can only get one of each component each day..... it will take you 10 days before you do get the Artifact.

Chompers DoT doesn't trigger strategist card for some reason and kills the crits. Light weight is burst and does more damage.

The powers from bar does more damage than comboing but if you will only use powers from bar, you will loose damage instead. So have to use both.

Crits proc on both. But mostly from the bar they hit big numbers.

You can buy armories and imprint dps loadout in one and then controller loaodut in 2nd. That way you can switch between them with a press of a button.

Unfortunately, no. As F2P, you only get one armory. For more armories, you will have to purchase them from marketplace with real money.

All elite gear says elite in the title. Some things like rings, neck, weapons and utility pouches aren't available in elite versions.

@@gr33dyglutton okay but like the cosmic necklace when you level it up to the max it says something in the description about placing it with other elite gear to get the affinity mod bonus but it doesn’t say elite anywhere in the title, something with the guitar for the newest episode.

@@joiekelly3141 The items you level up are called omnipotence gear, or OP gear. There's a new piece of OP gear released every DLC. The OP gear counts as a piece towards the affinity mod bonuses from your generator, but they aren't considered elite gear. The OP gear is much better than elite gear and will (when fully leveled) be relevant for a couple/few DLC's. Where as elite gear will be useless when a new DLC is released.

@@joiekelly3141 You are correct, the only point of levelling up old OP gear is for the feats. I wouldn't say it's pointless to do, but there are much easier feats to get for less effort/money. It all depends on where you're at. If you're new with low SP buying styles from the Archive room in the house of legends is a quick way to get SP.

Hey man! I would definitely work on that ally video. For Elec power, it depends on the situation, AoE for adds, Single build for boss fights. 😊

When you press the minigun power, you cannot move but when you are in chain combo doing the minigun, you can move.

Chain combos are when you press a power for example, light blast and then do hold range for mini gun instead of pressing another power. And your movement keys or stick can move you the way you wanna go while doing chain combo of minigun. But if you keep on turning, as in camera angle moves, thats something I have never heard of 🤣 so I have no idea whats happening 🙏

@@iEddyGaming it’s not the camera, Its when I clip light blast into minigun when I try to walk backwards like your doing my character turns around instead of walking backwards

Wow haha I have never experienced that. Check one thing, under settings, targeting.. See if the WASD mode is off or on. Mine stays off.
