Tried this game a few years ago coming from champions online and didn't like everything being behind a paywall now that they've switched it up some I think I'm going to give it another try thanks for the breakdown
Annual membership is the best deal. Averages out to around $2 a week. Access to everything. There's still stuff to buy on top of that but, you don't have to buy anything. You can level up to maximum combat rating without a membership.
Now it more PVE game than pvp but we are supposed to be getting an update to pvp hopefully before game engine update but certainly after the game engine update
This is still and will always be my favorite game I've ever played. I've been playing since beta and the game has gone through a bunch of changes but there is no other game with the same mechanics like this game. Especially PvP. Haven't played in a year or two but one day I'll jump back on and grind my skill points again. I'm currently @380 skill points since I stopped but alot of my friends from the old league "(WELLKNOWN) PVE" and "(300) PvP" have left the game to play other games like destiny and Warzone. But I do plan to make a comeback Still have my OG toon named (DIMAK) and my alt (GLOW) lol I miss this game sooooo much.
Honestly, the game seems to have been designed to simulate any action character you have in mind in both looks and abilities, it doesn't really matter which power to choose because they are all equally powerful in my experience, what matters is that your your combo (Movement, Power and Weapon) simulates the character you are trying to Roleplay for example if you want to play Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, you know you need a power that had rope pull move, and so on...the game provides enough customisation options to simulate any character you have in mind in 80-90% similarity both looks and abilities.
Yes and no, there is a plethora of ways to play this game. If you are considering pure damage and min/maxing your damage to its peak then super speed and certain powers with certain builds allow you to do that most damage in the game. But that is to say that other play styles and builds generally aren’t that bad and won’t be so far behind in content where you aren’t doing enough terms of damage. Especially since it’s probable that a damage dps seeker will be in your random group and do enough damage to make up the difference these alternative builds/loadouts do. Which is why most feat groups want dps seekers (scoreboard chasers) since they will have an overall easier time getting through the content as well as getting the feats they are after especially ones where fast high damage is essential to the feat(s).
@@Treyortj_ true but here is the thing, in my experience, game developers will always nerf and op and change things all the time, so the essence of this game that makes it different from others is the customization.
I started playing when Quantum is still the newest power (episode Origin Crisis) and the blink is what makes me like this power a lot. Not only for repositioning, but it also gives you a shield and withdraws aggro in case the boss is targeting you (usually at no Tank Alert runs).
Celestial is more like divine, godly like while sorcery is just straight up magic. Celestial is better in my opinion but still hurting from the casting animation nerf celestial got hit with a while back. It needs to be faster to excel
In game vendor at house of legends in archive room there are some plus summer seasonal event has them too. As for the crown of Solomon, you have to collect the complete collection of vasquez family effects. It is the reward for collecting the full collection
I tried to purchase electricity power at the start screen but apparently the ps5 was saying that the content wasn't available, should you just play through the game and then respec to switch your power
The old reliable power is munitions. Mental is fun and underrated but godly in PVP but but some tanks may find it annoying for your crowd control abilities. Quantum is fun and really good controller but dps is just ok similar to water for healers. Gadgets is sweaty player central and can be great at anything. Headlight is extremely fun and single target to few targets damage is great but aoe lacks outside of melee range some but the supercharges are quite high in damage, plus controller side is good but some tanks may find it annoying for your crowd control abilities.
All the styles from character creation can be purchased later on in game with in game money at hall of doom for villains or watchtower for heroes or house of legends for both
It’s free to play yes every dlc is free and you can do everything for free. If you want to speed the process up you can pay for things like replay badges to replay content again before it gets reset that day or that week. Allies and artifact can be leveled fully from just playing for free but you can pay to level them up faster but this will not be game breaking by doing so.
Not all of the powers presented are free initially. You can become legendary and gain access to all of the powers, or buy certain powers/set of powers. If you become legendary for a month and create your character within that time you will still have any characters and their powers that once required legendary to access after not being legendary.
Yeah, I ain’t trying to listen to your generator running in the background dude move your mic away from your computer or whatever that noises is annoying
