Best program produced by DD.behind the curtain story about this programme was that this programme was produced as an assurance to DD by Rafi saab to give a program in return to his request to govt then to lift ban on kishore kumar on AIR/DD in 1976 ,when kishore kumar refused to participate a musical program as per Sanjay Gandhi instructions.What a great human in addition to being a great artist.🙏🏿🙏🏿👍👍
Oh My God….. this is heavenly voice and singing… live singing on microphones of 1970s … no gadgets of 2023 and yet .. it sound beyond perfection… how Muhammad Rafi sb could sing sooooo comfortably, moving from low notes to unbelievably high notes… maintaining original texture of the voice.. certainly heavenly voice… respects and prayers Rafi sb ❤

@@hellogopan Thanks I never lived in India or Pakistan, but I am crazy of Indian music, specially Mohammed Rafi songs. It happened about 40 years back, when the great legend maestro Naushd Ali visited our country, I managed to invite him to my place, we had great time with him and I sang a Rafi song for him, he was very happy and then herecorded some precious beautiful words for me. For me those precious words are much much more valuable than any kind of award whatever, I kept that recording very well preserved until today.

I, too, had the opportunity to visit the family of Rafi sahab at his Bandra residence in Mumbai. Spent about 4 hours talking about the legend and sang some of his rarest of the rare songs which are generally not heard by most 😊 happy to get connected sir 🙏🏼
This is a treasure. Naushad sahab is describing the songs he was presenting as being over 25 yrs old and this was I assume in the mid 70's or before. Today we are in 2023 and we look at this presentation as being 50 yrs old with most of the performers in it not alive. And those songs that he was describing as old are today over 75 yrs since made gaining more and more popularity as time goes. This video should be kept black and white as it is. By the way, do we have a Part 2 of it? If there is, please let us have it. Thank you very much.
Naushad, Shakeel and Rafi---what a combination! Just Incredible. And what about Naushad ji ki shayri. He was amazing. We were so fortunate to have him. Aise aadmi kum bante hain. Aur Rafi Sahib kya kya kehna---nobody was or ever will be like him.
Oh yes, Mohammad Rafi was a wonderful exceptional Gem. Naushad Sahib, on the other hand, was a perfectionist. All of his compositions were detailed oriented. He also trained many singers during his time and helped them in their articulations. Here, being originally from Lucknow, UP, notice his mannerisms and the sophisticated style of delivery of the spoken words is, and that truly reflects in his musical scores as well.
