In this episode of Doc's Dirtcheap DIY, I show you how to make a free leakdown test setup! Use air pressure to figure out if you have a compression problem, and do it without spending a cent. SG on FB: / sprocketsgarage
Its come to a point where i dont really care about what the video will talk the title or lenght of the video. I just notice Doc ha uploaded a video. Know it must be qualiry contentt and tune in as soon as i have some free time. Super interesting as usual!
Hey doc sprocket i have question im working on my 97 murray riding mower (theres videos on my channel) bought a new ignition switch my old switch has a ground plug on it but the new switch does not have it is this ground needed
Hard to say, without further investigation. Magneto ignition systems ground out the primary coil winding, to shut it down. So, you have the kill wire from the magneto going to the key switch. From there, the switch would either ground it in the OFF position thru an external wire, or the body of the switch itself. The new switch might be a chassis ground type, or... you have the wrong switch. A powered coil ignition system switch would NOT make a connection in the OFF position.
@@DocSprocket i did in fact have the wrong switch (stole it from project red wiggles) i did go buy the right switch and now its all in working order thank for the help Theres a video coming soon on the 97 murray hope that you watch it
@@GeorgiaRidgerunner Sorry I was too late on the response. Tough to keep up sometimes. Sure, I'll watch! Might need a reminder, but I'll gladly check it out.
We definitely don't want to get me started on THAT bull$hit. Dunno if you follow international news much (assuming you're outside Canada), but we're absolutely up to our necks in it right now.
Yeah, I'm sorry. Didn't have any bloopers or anything on this one. The mishap I had while doing this, was years ago- not this time. But hey- thanks for being one of the select few that KNOW to watch to the end for Easter Eggs!
