Glad to know i’m not the only one that keeps returning to this video. I watched this way back when it was originally shown at AWA 10 and watch it at least once a year since then. I was just an awkward loner in college back then and now I’m in my 40’s married with a kid but I still love this video. I think this whole video is great (just a few weak links) but 12:13 to 16:33 is my personal favorite section. So much creativity is in those few minutes, i.e. the photos stacking to the beat, the “perfect”s during Rock Lee’s combo, and heck the entire Dragon Ball sequence is amazing.

@@psychicsandwich7 Aw that's so cool! I used to listen to these a lot back when I was just a preteen admittedly. It made me develop a more "obscure" taste in anime compared to a lot of my friends, but I find it interesting to look back on the early stages of anime's fandom in the west by learning about the fanbases around such older series and the content that they created. It's satisfying as someone who grew up around the cusp of when that 90's to early 2000's fanbase evolved into the 2010's fandom where people were more interested in things like Sword Art Online or Attack on Titan.

This needs to be archived somewhere. Beyond my feelings of this being one of my favorite DDR mixes on RU-vid, I feel that this media represents the feeling of the late 90's-early 2000's very well as it contains animation that was popular during the era, and the amazing video and audio editing is something other people can learn from.

The announcer sounds better, and there are some good songs on 5th mix, like Synchronized Love (Red Hyper Monster Mix), DIVE, Healing Vision, Synchronized Love (Red Hyper Monster Mix), Sky High, Remember You, and Synchronized Love (Red Hyper Monster Mix).

I downloaded this video in 2006. In that year was the 1st time I found out about amv's and the website animemusicvideos.org. I still have this project somewhere in my DVDs where I have all my stuff downloaded. lol

still working my way through this but had to pause and say missed opportunity on cat's eye (ventura mix) I believe that song was actually FROM an anime?! but otherwise this is freaking epic! edit: but I'll forgive you for using lupin the 3rd for that song's amv! :P)

After the close calls with editors dropping every year the DDR projects ended. (Worked on the Twist) that last one was particularly close. It was rendered at the con it premiered at. Glad you guys loved em.
