On top of that, imagine the DDR announcer will be the one that also announcer for the radio! He'll say smth like this, "If you're on the road, streets after streets, look at those speed meters!"
because the us one was made one year before the japanese one so thats why ddr x us has the same songs as japanese supernova 2 because they were both made in 2008
Honestly I like the japanese home version than the arcade version because it features the content I want. Another reason I like that japanese version better because the songs on the American version include just music videos of American songs.myou know what I am talkin bout
from what i can remember, even tha US version of DDR SuperNOVA2 does include Angelus but tha European version (Dancing Stage SuperNOVA2) does not and has way worse songs than both tha US and JAPAN version
Wow, I'm really impressed by this new songlist. I was a little skeptical about it, but I'm actually going to buy this after seeing your video. The new songs are just too irresistable.
Happy 15th Anniversary to this game! This was THE VIDEO that made me want to own the game. It took nearly 13 years, but I finally did get it in 2021. Because of that, I could officially declare this as one of my all time favorite DDR games, if not my all time favorite!
I was really considering getting the Japanese version of SN2... There are so many classic songs in addition to the entire planet series, a lot of songs from the English DDR X, and Pluto and Pluto Relinquish of course. I already bought the English SN2... And getting X soon, but maybe sometime in the future I'll look to the JP SN2
2:40 thanks for your vid :D i've finally could see what was the titile of the song i played one time when i rent this game. how i loved that song: i remember certainly the clip and the end...(twas odd though)
I think it's because for the other songs they play the chorus of the song. But, a lot of boss songs don't seem to have a chorus. So, for those songs, they just play the beginning. I'm not really sure though.
ugh, why isn't the usa supernova 2 playlist something like this. No crappy licensed songs, no repetition of fascination max eternal love mix when we're over that song, awesome past songs with remixes, MORE songs, harder songs overall. GRR. I hope DDR X does better.
Yea, I dunno much about the support mode for later realeases, but I know for Supernova 1 everything's unlocked after about 50 hours of song play, I'm not sure Supernova 2 uses the same system, except for the Boss songs: Unreal for Extra Stage, NGO for Encore Extra, and some specific conditions for TRIP MACHINE PhoeniX and PARANOiA ~Hades~
When I played SN2 at the arcades and saw "Sunrise," I was actually pleased to see Konami brought Duran Duran back. Half the people that watch me recognize their stuff, old or new (like when they had the reflex, and even Ordinary World, even though it was only a dance mix/cover by Aurora).. But overall, I'm jealous ;( I want this on MY SN2...Hahaha
Whoever wants to protest/complain to konami about the unfair song list of both supernova 2 versions have the right to speak out to everyone who thinks it's very not fair!
UGH, sorry for posting a 3rd time in a row, but I had to elaborate..I meant all the 10 footer/block songs when I said boss songs..didn't mean to include Unreal.
Arrabbiata Expert - 9 NGO Expert - 9 Trip Machine P Expert - 9 Paranoia Hades Expert - 9 Uranus Oni - 10 Did they forget to play the game before they released it?
By the way, not that it's a big deal or anything, but has anyone else noticed that the preview music for all the boss songs are the direct beginning of each song? Like, remember when you'd scroll by PSMO or something, and they would play the stream part or something..I dunno haha, I just thought it was interesting.
@jonathan456767 Not to mention, the Japanese version has an entire section devoted to DDR classics. Here in America, we get Gwen Stefani and Goldfrapp. Blargh.
The main reason it is there is because of Konami's involvement with that series. Although they DO license anime songs in their other bemani games like pop'n music.
Geez, I watched the whole thing and I still didn't find a song I heard in the US arcade version. This is what I get for not paying closer attention to the titles....
This game is loaded with North American Dance Dance Revolution X songs, basically this game songs appears on one of the Dance Dance Revolution PS2 games DDRMAX DDRMAX2 DDR Extreme DDR Extreme 2 DDR SuperNOVA DDR SuperNOVA 2 DDR X DDR X2
I got an AA Full Combo on CHAOS on HEAVY (Red Song) On DDR SUPERNOVA!!! I Can Get An A Full Combo or Higher On All Red Song's in Any DDR Game On All Difficulties and still Keeping My Full Combo (I still need to Buy DDR X And DDR X2, yes 😇🥰😇🥰!!!) Like and Reply if you Agree!!!
Do you,or anybody in this own the USA version? if so plz tell me if you can play some of the previous DDR such as Doll and Xepher. i know i can do it on the arcade mode but idk in PS2. plz answer,im trying to decide if to buy this or Supernova 1.
Does anybody know if the japanese version of supernova 2 will be compatible with the us playstation console as long as you have a swapmagic disc? Also where can i get one in chula vista or in san diego?
This this is about as close as you can get to a perfect song list, a great selection of old and new. It's a shame the US release robbed us of so much good shit
yes my friend, unfortunately we do. Even the japan versions of max, max2, and extreme.... have all official arcade songs, no rift raft by kelly clarkson or chris brown stuff. As well as bonus songs for the heck of it, and max. (period) in which is on japanese extreme.
It's slowly happening right now starting with Trust ~Dance Dance Revolution mix~. That song has the BG video of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann but in no way will there be a full anime mix ddr. although I would pre order it in a snap.
1. l'amour et la liberte' is mercury. 2. Because they are interested for the "general" public more than hardcore ddr players. The want to get more general people in the game, with songs they would recogize.
