I miss this game.. Still have a working ps2 memory card and dance Mats. But I no longer know where my supernova is. Even harder to find it now that I moved. For all I know we accidentally threw it out while packing.
agree, some of the license songs are not form Dancemania/TOSHIBA-EMI anymore, it ends at DDR EXTREME (in reference to JAPANESE/ORIGINAL ARCADE VERSIONS)
This was the shit! When I went to the IHOP I heard that there was DDR I got SOOO EXCITED but they told me it broke and I was MAD I was complaining and no one stop me since my best friend wasn't there
DDR 2ndMIX CLUB VERSION 2 - CHOTTO KIITENA [ZASHIN-NA MIX] DDR 3rdMIX PLUS - KOREAN SONGS DDR 4thMIX PLUS - PETIT LOVE DDR Solo BASS MIX - NONSTOP MEGAMIX DDR Solo 2000 - NONSTOP MEGAMIX DDR 7thMIX - A MINUTE [Extended Mix], IT'S RAINING MEN [Almighty Mix], MORE THAN I NEEDED TO KNOW, THERE YOU'LL BE DDR EXTREME - SENORITA [Speedy Mix] DDR SuperNOVA - DOESN'T REALLY MATTER
That sounds like a mixture of two different games. The game with the minigames is DDR Extreme (US), and the game with Doll and Xepher is DDR SuperNOVA (US). This is of course, only if you live in the US. I can't help you with Japanese or European releases.
Best part about that is the european version has both Trim & Max 300 SMM Mix, so it has technically one more boss song compared to both the US & JP version. I say technically, because Trim is counted as a regular song in the EU version and is available from the get go instead of being locked behind The Last if I recall.
Sin, The Empty One I found out that you can get Trim online and play it, however the servers are long gone by now. I wish I was curious enough to know how to get online before they shut down the servers
That's a big oof. But if it makes you feel any better, we europeans got shafted in terms of DDR pretty hard. Pretty sure the US & JP songlist has much more licensed songs than EU, probably because getting licenses is harder in EU. Reminds me of how legacy music industry was and still is a major pain in the neck.
it is, albeit you could only play it online, and when that service was deactivated, you couldn't play it unless you saved it to edit data somehow, it's on the next US CS mix tho
wth wheres Doll? o.o I know that the USA version of this game has it but wasn't it released on the arcade version of Supernova? im surprised that its not on the console version for Japan considering most of the arcade songs are on here.
the ddr that has mini games is ddr extreme (us) the ddr that has songs like doll and xepher is ddr supernova (us) the ddr games that has the song you described are ddr extreme(us) and ddr max(us) the song is called im for real
You guys should get Ultramix 3 and stop complaining, an Xbox is like 50$ now and a JP import of DDR is almost the same price. Plus the Dancemania songs aren't really worth it except Golden Sky.
I can't find the name of this song but it has humming in it including the beats but no lyrics, the background are also animated with soldiers and there is a glimpse of the flag waving if anyone know let me know that be great
This is the song list for the Japanese version of DDR Supernova, which has mostly the same songs as the US/Western version but a handful of songs are traded for others. For example, Flowers is on the song list here, even though in the US that song was actually in DDR Supernova 2, not Supernova 1.
still better than European DDR games AKA Dancing Stage lol just look at what DS SuperNOVA has in Europe and don't get me started with DS SuperNOVA2 in Europe lol
Technically, Flow and Flow (true style) are the same song and have same beginner to expert charts. The latter have BPM changes and new challenge chart.
:O FLOWERS? HONEY PUNCH? Seduction?! Dragon blade?!?! Under the sky?! Insertion?! Keep On Movin' (even though its annoying) ?! Rainbow flyer?! Trim?! HOW MUCH CAN THEY TORTURE US AMERICANS?!?! I WAN THIS SOOOO BAD!!!!!
Because some of the songs in the US PS2 version were replaced with songs originally from EXTREME AC, since the US CS version didn't have all of them. Because of this, the songs that were replaced got moved to future releases.
***** don't 4get there's some songs on tha SuperNOVA series dat was either originally from tha Ultramix series or renewed on tha Ultramix Series and Universe series but yeah not all was ported 2 US releases, however tha European release as known as "Dancing Stage" has tha worse of 'em all
***** IIRC, the majority (if not all) of those songs were originally from Festival and Party Collection, not the Ultramix, Universe, or Dancing Stage series' (especially not Dancing Stage (the games in which aren't actually too bad; I've wanted to get my hands on some of them TBH), as all of the songs (except for the licenses) were all from at least one other DDR game).
blehe38 DDR Ultramix was released b4 Festival and Party Collection so alot of these are from Ultramix like Ballad for You, Insertion (Machine Gun Kelly Mix), Keep on Movin' (DMX Mix), Put Your Faith in Me (Saturday Night Mix), these was songs dat originated from DDR Ultramix! all Festival was is alot of Ultramix Renewals anyways! dat'z like sayin' DDR Strike came b4 DDR Extreme 2 when Extreme 2 was released in 2005 but Strike was released in 2006! plus on tha Supernova series, there's a good portion of songs dat originated from DDR Extreme 2 as well!
