In this deeply analytical and scientific video, I investigate just HOW cash money the new Cache is 0:00 - Intro 0:34 - CS:GO VS CS2 0:51 - Hole in wall 1:53 - NEW BARRELL!! 2:18 - Smaller details 3:41 - FMPone 4:01 - VS Greenest Version
This doesn't look Stalkerish. It looks low quality VN panel with green tint. Cache is supposed to look luminal. It's eastern European. It needs more white, gray and metallic colors.
CS2 has more sandy maps than whole arabia. This is something. Maybe called Counter Sand 2 from now on 😅 Edited ( new inferno also supposed to be sandy at first, later valve changed it to more White themed after community feedback)
The first "green" iteration of new cache was also my favourite. So beautiful and colorful. I wish the map creator contemplates the idea of making the Source 2 version of Cache more akin to daylight like its older versions instead of a goldish afternoon atmosphere. Such a shame Valve released poorly designed agents when Cache was dropped. That green vibe was awesome.
@@yes-69 no need to apologize i was responding to no-replies, i think it’s funny that philip recognizes that a lot of people who watch his videos no longer play cs
Though I'm biased as an addict, I can completely see the content being fascinating even to those completely uninvested. So many niche passionate deep dives. I bet thats one of the most meaningful compliments to receive as a creator
I hope that the evening setting doesn't ruin visibility. Every map is basically set at noon currently, and a darker time of day combined with the brown color scheme might make visibility hard
I don't even play CS2, I only surf on CSS nowadays, but I still watch all of this guys videos because they are just so aesthetically pleasing to watch and listen to
IMO I can't get over the feeling, how the building on middle is built with bricks plus the golden brown color scheme makes it feel really de_dust-ish, or anubis-ish. Would really appreciate the old color scheme, maybe with some brighter colors. But we'll see, maybe he just exaggerated it with a filter of some sorts.
My favourite part about Cache was that you could peak almost every angle sequentially as a T without getting ratted by an off angle peak if you brought one smoke and one moly, as opposed to so many other maps where just being good isn't the most important part due to bad timing on peaks, people hiding in a rat corner, etc... This meant if you were good at aiming and had good map knowledge, you could carry MUCH easier than on a map like mirage where pushing a site without teammates' util is like rolling the dice due to how many angles you have to peak/consider at once. This is really the only thing I hope they try to preserve in the update, as it's the main reason I had 80% of my 3k hours on Cache alone.
I prefer the old more "neutral" color of Cache Mark 1 on CS:GO since was when I started to play this map and it's now nostalgic to me aswell the old A bombsite layout.
I honestly like the classic csgo version of cache the most. I think its one if the best examples of "if it's not broken don't fix it". There was nothing wrong with it but somehow fmpone felt the need to re do it. Twice now. Don't get me wrong, I love remakes, but these take the map in a whole new direction instead of embracing the original theme of the map.
keep in mind the bit sticking out the wall at 2:20 used to be a skill jump for cts to reach that part without a boost. could be fmpone wanted to add it back in
Cache was my fav map. I really liked all the old grey maps in cs go. Nuke, overpass, cobblestone, train and cache. Excellent visibiality good gameplay. Game feels so empty without cache, train and cobble
Golden hour is my favorite time of day. As someone who appreciates warm colours, I can't wait to be getting owned and owning on the new Cache that will get plopped into the map pool for hopefully more than one Major only to then be replaced with something like a new valve map or a cobblestone remake
I love the use of Golden Brown and War Dream! Not sure if this is the first time you've done it but what made you move away slightly from your own music?
I think that use the white Cache version to export to cs2 is the right choice. The green cache was kinda "sabotaged" by Valve and their magic timing to release something... people have vietnam memories about the last cache, so him using the most beloved version is the right choice, and I hope it works bc I love this map so much
Definitely prefer the green color scheme, since we’ve got way too many golden brown/orange maps to the point where Vertigo feels like a place to cool off
Cache at night would fix the entire golden brown look that every cs2 map has, also almost the entire map is already perfectly set up to have decent lighting so that its still playable with the spooky shut down nighttime factory vibe. that would be so awesome.
I like the source 2 version and it's color scheme the most! It kinda reminds me of good old CS1.6 in some way. :) I love the stick figures, also very nostalgic, remind me of these stick figure fight flash animations from 15 years ago OMG how much time has passed... :O
seems like the new cs2 version is a lot darker than what most other maps have been like since we moved over. Doesn't quite fit in with the rest. Though the screenshots are still from an early version, so maybe the lighting isn't done yet or maybe it looks different when the rest of the map around mid has been implemented
