today found out that 15 year old me had messed up my backups, and some data i really would've liked to access had the same "folders only, no files" issue that you brought up :( i wonder what causes that, so annoying.
I honestly prefer the CS Source version, it's so much simpler and easier to spot enemies, I don't play CS for the pretty landscapes, I play it to shoot people and play with my team.
Cache at night would fix the entire golden brown look that every cs2 map has, also almost the entire map is already perfectly set up to have decent lighting so that its still playable with the spooky shut down nighttime factory vibe. that would be so awesome.

Csgo maps used to have character because of their color pallets now it seems like yellow / brown/ gold is the default for example inferno lost its beautiful blue color and now cache with no green foliage.
I absolutely hated that angle both sides in go when it was added. To me, Cache is Dust 2. It is simple, it is setup VERY similarly to D2 with the right variations. Understandably the tactics get stale as they do on D2 but oh well. - D2 + Cache 2025
