Deacon Blue - Dignity at T in the Park 2013 

had a good friend who took his own life a good few years back, he loved this band and especially this song, this always reminds me of him, but i always remember him smiling and hope he still is xx

For all it's later issues - T was unsurpassed in getting big name headliners for Scotland. I loved it, the mud - the rain, the tramp from parking to camp & time spent with my kid

As a throwback to the band's heyday at a packed Barrowlands and other venues...that singing of the first verse brings back great memories!. No wonder this is crowned as one of Scotland's best tracks. It's a pure classic!.

I'm 16 and was at Titp with a group of school friends. All 30 people I went with came to see Deacon Blue, and it was absolutely amazing. Would go back in a heartbeat.

this was emotional for me having been a deacon blue fan for most of my life, seen them over 20 times live so to be there for their first ever t in the park was simply magical

OMG.. started looking for my classic LOVED songs and NEVER thought this track could still be popular (albeit in 2013) with mid 20-30yr olds AND THEY ALL KNOW THE WORDS. This was my late 80's ballard song.. (ouch I'm a bloke)... prior to Sade.. and then later Sinead which blew me away.. god how those years have passed.

Played this as the son leaving my late sister in laws funeral and those of us that were in tears singing it love this song

Dignity did not chart when first released. Made 20 when rereleased. Thirty years on and it’s still a track I could listen to every day. Ironic that Deacon Blue’s biggest chart failure became their greatest hit. That’s something they must have known as a gigging band : audiences loved it and still do. With every passing year it’s simple story becomes more lovely.
