56 years old and I'm living on a boat. This song makes me cry with drunken happiness...especially when the piano sings. 🙂

I live in the States and sadly I have never heard of them until today. I'm 52 this year and they are FANTASTIC!!!!

There’s a lot of animosity between England and Scotland, but as an Englishman I’ll say this - you can keep your gas, your whiskey, your free prescriptions and free university fees. This is the greatest thing to EVER come out of Scotland, and I’ll fight to the death to keep Scotland in the UK so that I can keep some tenuous link to being part of this song. Best song ever written. EVER.

I feel so lucky and privileged to say ive been around and following Deacon Blue since the 80's. Amazing band live. Loaded fore is my favourite. Dignity is an absolute timeless classic. All ages know it.❤️

Reminds me of my grandad, he was a miner. Retired and got a boat to go with his car and caravan. He had a short retirement but he made it count. 💕He's a miss xx

I like Deacon Blue. They've just done their thing win, lose or draw. Not tried to conquer the world, no theatrics through the years and just a good band to listen to.

My God. 1990 and I was madly in love with her. We heard the song. But she wasn't in love with me. Bloody hell. But I'm still a bit enamoured when I hear it again.

Completely takes me back. Reminds me of a train journey from Uni in Newcastle-upon-Tyne to my (then) girlfriend in Carlisle where a bunch of girls invaded my carriage convinced I was you in my dungarees. I enjoyed myself.

Seen this show in the Echo arena Liverpool with my daughter and her fella. He’d never really heard a lot of what they’d recorded. But was blown away with there performance. So much so he lost his phone in the excitement . He had to go back to the venue ,whilst we went back to the car. Most leaving the venue were families all singing mr blue sky. A great night.

All ways reminds me of driving round with my mate Gordon in his xr3 year’s ago with this blasting out one of my favourite bands ever and always will be 😊

Have to say I missed this song somehow when it came out in ‘93😮But since I’ve discovered it in the past few weeks I’ve been playing it non stop 24/7, it’s just beautiful plus She’s the one!! I was aware of Karl Wallinger in the early to mid ‘80’s in The Waterboys but not too familiar with World Party. Typical😮Karl Wallinger a very talented musician gone too soon RIP from Ireland.

Saw them when I was 16, 1989 whiteley Bay ice rink then again following year. Amazing!!!
