'Dead Air' with Georg and Christina just talking about life issues and current events is simply one of my favorite things going these days. I would love to have them for neighbors.
I'm pretty sure, as renters, you legally need to be given a specific amount of notice for each time the landlord visits. That might be something to prep for in case your landlord gets unreasonable and interrupts your lives or work (aka ability to make money). I hope everything goes as smoothly as it can for you two. You're much more resilient and than me.
Moving: The wife and I are in the same position, our landlord told us December 30th he's selling we could buy but not told for how much. As of now we're waiting for the current buyer to get the house , he luckily wants us to remain on a 2 year tenancy. Glad to know you both have another place to go. 😊👍
I saw people juggling chainsaws at my local college. I was craning my neck watching the chainsaws in the air while trying to make sure I was far away from them.
Re: Juggling chainsaws. The chain isn't moving as your finger isn't on the "trigger". Also, you can modify the chain, replacing the links that have a sharp blade, with a "regular" chain link. Still bloody impressive though. Jim Rose used to do it. He also used to balance a lawnmower on his chin (as in, stand it on the handle). To verify the blade is running, he'd have someone throw a lettuce at the blade, spraying the audience with salad. Big fan of the guy. I learned how to do the "Four inch nail into the nose". One of the impressive stunt is "human dartboard", throwing darts into someone's back. There's no trick. You just do it. Need to trust the thrower not to hit your spine though. The other one is stapling money to the chest or forehead with a stapler or staple gun. There's no trick. You just do it. And suffer.
Talking about a harsher stardew valley I would reccommend the two games Recettear or Potionomics. Both involve trying to run a shop than a farm, but they're much more brutal in them constantly asking for larger and larger debt payments for the giant faceless corporation. They do have happy endings though, provided you don't fall back on your sudden debt payments you got from your dead family member.
mark zuckerbergs daily outfit is worth about $400 which sounds like a lot, but I know far too many regular people working regular jobs who would spend that much on a new pair of shoes
Not crapping on renters, but I remember renting and it sucks. I presume renters rights in the US aren't great either. I hope something works out soon for you guys. Edit: Also Christina is to be applauded for humouring your, in her words not mine "nonsense" I know I've put my wife through similar and to her credit, she too humours me and eggs it on.
I've been watching The Regime. I don't think it's terrible. Seems a bit predicable right now. Again, Kate Winslet might be the best thing about it. The world feels a little bit too Wes Anderson for me.
