I love how the songs in this mod fit under two categories: • Literal Bangers • Horrific sounds and electronic buzzing mashed together in such a crude way that only a deranged psychopath could call it music
The “ouch” sound effect at 9:03 is actually the sound someone used to make when dying in Roblox, which makes it more understandable as to why he got sent into some sort of rage and then ended himself. I know it sounds silly but that’s the equivalent of hearing the dying scream of someone outside your home. It’s probably not that deep but I enjoy looking into things
I think Jim got overtaken by his paranoia by extreme levels and decided facing death is better than facing the threat (that never existed, since it was all in his head)
So shelter is a game in roblox called jims computer. Jim gets a new computer and buys things and goes on. But every night he checks his closets so that might mean that he is paranoid. Also on night 3 someone with no name types prepare. But everyone goes missing, the military is trying to find out wth is happening. At the last night, the thing comes to jims house and tries to get in. At the end,jim shoots himself.
When you put it like that, it's even funnier considering they made chat stickers depicting those same scary women (and the other freaks in the game) getting into silly antics or doing relatable daily activities like washing clothes.
I wish the songs werent As bitcrushed, bc they sound incredible underneath the distortion. But regardless, i dont think ive heard very much music that sounds like you could put it on at a goth club and literally no one would know. And i love that
@@theboi261 i mean thats valid, i just personally wanna hear it a bit better? Just so i can appreciate the instrumental more. I can appreciate the style of it
Yeah, I genuinely can't hear the instrumental on most of these songs. It's so bitcrushed that I can't even tell the instruments. I just hear random noises
@@logagibs818 i think im probably able to hear it better just because i spent a large portion of my teen years listening to Noise, so my ears became trained to hear past the distortion, but yah i just wish there was an unmodified version to appreciate, as there is quite a great deal beneath it all
Genuinely, love this mod. There is quite literally nothing else like it, both visually or musically. The only thing I can think of that even comes close visually is the ending of First Instance. I love the fact that the music is compressed as well, gives the feeling of watching a spooky youtube video recorded with Unregistered Hypercam 2. Really excited to see what's next for this mod.
Yeah , Jim's computer have a dark lore , not compared to other analog horror but the difference is that the jim's computer game can actually happen in real world 💀
@@HATEFORYOU0nah that goofy concept is already taken by the FNF monster of monsters mod you should go check out the song if you're interested it's really cool.
big eater with the john mod is an insane throwback. this mod is super sick and unique, really hope the creators add on more older internet horror media such as blank room soup, i feel fantastic etc.
@@hellchartfran756 just how this genre of music is. helps add to the atmosphere of the mod. considering that each of these mods are based off of some form of internet horror it helps add to that unsettling and unnerving feeling that you're supposed to feel.
Some of the songs here are kinda more for the scary aspect than an actual listenable song (under the tree, remembered, etc) but some are bangers! (Comatose)
I might be one of the few people who thinks this but I like how Remembered is actually close to its original track. And it slaps in a way. Pretty interesting And of course Comatose is a literal banger.
This is a really good mod in all honesty especially with all the stuff we've recently been getting. The songs all set you into a state of like panic or shock and I love it considering I somewhat know what most of series the songs are based on (Chezzkidz, Boisvert, etc). I really hope we get a V2 to this mod with new songs as I feel like the songs for V1 are all really good. :]
Songs that i would honestly count as FC: Under The Tree Comatose (there was a lag there so it doesnt count as a miss) Fancy Island (yes it was hard to read but im positive he hit the notes) Shelter Remembered Songs i would count as a no FC: Big Eater tmpb2hpbw== (this one looks insanely hard to fc and im pretty sure the team did that just so that they can see people fail on it)
Making it absolutely awesomesauce (as if it wasn’t already), would be making a Lacey’s games song, a milton math games song, and a Walten files song in my opinion.
@@a-very-uncreative-handle Pretty sure it’s lack of background instruments, which is what makes the song good. It’s not supposed to sound the greatest because it’s supposed to sound panicked. Joes Computer is about anxiety (or schizophrenia, I can’t tell) and the song is supposed to be him panicking because of visions that are in his head.
10/10 Mod best songs i've ever listened to all songs sound good and honesty they make you dance if username 666 were in this i'd be the happiest person ever since it never gets a fnf mod and i think it deserves a fnf mod
fancy island idea, scared me the most. the website is even worse... i had nightmares for weeks about that website... might re visit it sometime... otherwise, i liked the mod!! very well made and a lot of coding...
My entire retrospect on this entire mod: Under the tree (great but heavely distorted) Comatose (amazing as it should) Fancy island (way too much bass for me to enjoy it) Big eater (good) Shelter (love how it depicts paronia and panic) Remembered (i absolutely adore how they used the video as the inst, fav song)
Unique mod for sure. It completly disregarded all rules and went full breakcore. However I must admit it could be done better. Some like Under the Tree can't even be considered music.
some songs better than others, but other than that no song in the mod is terrible imo! they all have their own vibe respective to their source material and I think that's amazing! this is a actual HORROR mod so everyone just complaining is dumb
@TittleTattler I can easily get behind it when it works well with whatever it's being used over, and this is a perfect example of noise music being fitting.
(Sorry if this comment starts feeling more like a rant rather than general criticism. I just wanted to get my thoughts out their and talk about how the mod can generally be improved with its songs. Feel free to disagree with any of this as it is only my opinion :) ) I feel like some of the songs could be a lot better if they just had better mixing. I understand that some songs like Shelter need to sound really low quality (In terms of like the songs being bitcrushed sort of quality, not like general song quality) to match with the original videos low quality esc style but I still feel like those songs could have executed that while still being able to sound good on their own. Other songs such as Comatose or Fancy Island I feel get drowned out by the mixing as well, along with the later half of Big Eater (The first half of the song tho is actually pretty damn good with it's nice sounding melody). I also feel like the sort of main melody of Remembered also overtakes the song and hushes out the rest when it really shouldn't. The only song I feel like that doesn't have these qualities is tmpb2hpbw because it does work as a good song that it works by representing really old chaotic seizure like videos that were made all the way back then, while still managing to sound good on it's own. (Only real criticism is that the song is a little repetitive.) The only song in this mod that I don't like is Under the Tree, the beginning is alright, the distorted vocals sound kinda cool but the weird sort of distorted piano overtakes the song with how loud it is, but the second half is literally just distorted noise that breaks eardrums and it just sounds too low quality for me to even enjoy it along with the fact the song being repetitive is more annoying here than in tmpb2hpbw. Still, I do think the mod does have a really good concept and I hope to see more from it in the future, I just think their are some things in this that do need some adjustments here and there. Sorry if I'm just being oblivious or if I'm not getting or understanding something.
@@Canyoufeelthesunshine I know and I do understand that. I just wish that they could still execute the bit crush while not sacrificing the songs quality
I love it personally, I think the overcompression and bitcrush gives these songs so much of an identity and a charm; it got really tiring hearing the same stuff in FnF mods again and again; Dead Air has songs that make you feel unnerved.
Remembered uses "take care' (from boisvert) video as the main inst, alongside with the vocals being that cold raspy chromatic. Which I think is why it's my fav song
Yeah, Under The Tree and Fancy island are very Context based. Under The Tree is based on "Chezzkids Archive", where there's this group of people trying to archive every nook and cranny of a defunct flash game website whose creator, Sarah Trills, along with her husband disappeared without trace and make several corrupted appearances in their own flash games. Meanwhile Fancy Island is based on Lomando (AKA Fancy Island), a bait and switch website that lures you in with a promise of a cutesy anime tour through a Island, but instead you get instantly thrown into a haunted theme park of sorts that's infested to the brim with cheap jumpscares, clowns, puzzles, very labyrinth like map design, bizzare imagery, boss fights and odd earthbound esque rock paper scissor matches with spooky entities.
