Love your reaction so much! About Edwin calling Charles’s actions “extreme”, I think it’s not about what he did (because ofc he did what he had to), but about how he did it. Edwin and Charles are together for 30 years and while the do keep some stuff from each other, they know each other well enough. Edwin knows how Charles usually fight, and can see that this wasn’t his usual way, it was violence caused by not just protection instincts, but also by anger. Charles is an amazing boy but he has this unresolved trauma and he doesn’t always deal with it in a healthy way, that what’s his character arc is about, after all
From my very limited American knowledge, The washer Woman comes from Celtic mythology (Irish, Scottish, Welsh). She's usually a death omen; if you see her washing your clothes at a river crossing before a battle, you gonna die. Neil likes to put a fun twist on all kinds of mythological beings and I'm all for it.
I don't want to give any spoilers but y'all are so insightful, I'm impressed. The bit with Charles's dad broke my heart, when Edwin calls his reaction to the Night Nurse extreme, I had the exact same reaction as Mikel-Claire. The Night Nurse was so brutal to Charles!
@@lpeterson2336 In the comics they were only 13, but for the tv series they aged them up to older teenagers so that the romance stories would be more appropriate. Technically though Edwin is over 100, and Charles is in his 50's if you count their total existence, they just stopped aging when they passed, but yah they're technically old men.
Oooh, I was excited to see this one! And I'm with you guys, I didn't think what Charles did to the Night Nurse was too much either, what else was he to do?
Even creepier in Doom Patrol. Was happy to see at least one actor from the Dead Boys Detective episode of Doom Patrol. I just finished this episode so don't know if we will see her again or if we will see her the way we saw her on Doom Patrol
I have to agree with Syntel grown men walking around with hairy balls out is not a good look! But I enjoyed the episode! Niko is the only one that has been truthful with everyone in their group!
