Tbh in my opinion it would be to distracting. In the game survivors need to survive and focus. They can't have a radio static affect bursting in they're ears when they get chased. It's too distracting
@@Rex-rz7xf thats the point for killers, not survivors. they already have loud music blasting in their ears, which, while it adds to the aesthetic, can be distracting and take away from sound queues. Not that it's a bad idea, I just think that static shouldnt be there in a chase along with music. Maybe they could make it during the terror radius, but once the chase starts it disappears or something.
@@SokWorld2007 I suppose to each their own. The bells add more of the Solent Hill feel. Removing them kinda made it feel less intense for me since the bells kinda conveyed a higher threat.
I would like to add that the creator of Silent Hill himself stepped in and made edits to the theme. The live version is how the creator intended the theme to be.
@@ClaudeHaste His powers seem to be great at saving time since if you have torment he doesn't have to hook you and he can just mori you if you are tormented and are on the second hook stage plus he has a ranged attack that goes through walls.
To be fair, he’s a killer that has plagued most gamers’ childhood nightmares, so it only makes sense. Silent Hill is also a prominent horror franchise.
if the survivor try to take pallet down, get hurted by the special of the killer, and there is a problem,if we pass by a pallet we don't know if we drop or pass.
When you are in the chase one of the most important thing is learn killer’s habit in order to know the pattern/how to loop him. Since you have time to learning killer’s habit, looping him is pretty ez and it’s not bad at all once you know the pattern, when you see pyramid trying to use his stone edge just don’t keep running, run stop run stop, just to make yourself unpredictable. Then you run toward pallet and stop/derping there IF he’s very close to you(the distance that if you don’t drop pallet he will hit you), either he cancel stone edge or release stone edge, just stun him and run away. For those of you think that you can’t loop him I’m not saying you’re bad but your reaction time need to be improved. Stone edge is actually easier to dodge compare to the gun and hatchet.
One of the things I'll never forgive BHVR is that they nerfed the AMAZING SLAP during the chase music, they completely removed the cowbell doing the SH theme and they changed most of the sequence to something a bit more boring and constant
Personally I can't say this is ruined. The cowbell was nice musically, but the whole idea is for his theme to sound industrial and like banging and scraping metal. His new theme sounds extremely oppressive while bringing out pyramid heads sadistic nature.
The bell was pretty cool, but too high pitched. That's probably why they changed it and it was a good decision. Sounds like that get extremely annoying to the ears after a while
I love this chase music, just like Silent Hill, it’s the sound of penitence slowly following you, you can not delay the inevitable, it will hunt you down, it will find you, and it will get you eventually. Just like James Sunderland, you are forever doomed to pay for your sins, and the Executioner is waiting...
I main killers but when I'm against pyramid head as a survivor I actually always enjoy the match. It's fun to play against because of the theme and his move set
The intro of this sounds too close to the Silent Hill style of music. Considering Akira Yamaoka actually helped to make the new theme for this Chapter, I wouldn't be surprised if this was also made by him. Hype!
@@EmeraldCave1 Up until 0:37 it does. Reminds me of his Shattered Memories or Origins' Otherworld style. Then I agree that the cliche bell-like sounds ruined it. But it might be a collab just like the main theme, again.
@@SanelyInsane13 I really don't like this chase theme, it doesn't sound like Silent Hill at all and it just sounds like if Freddy Krueger and 2017 Pennywise made music and decided to make something together.
@@dweetsauce8513 It is my opinion and it's your right to judge it but still, the chase music is ass imo. If it sounded more like Silent Hill 2's soundtrack (depressing and metallic), that would've been much better. I would love a Lakeview Hotel type theme.
@@Raspstrike It is not the same. Go search for the live version and play the chase music themes 1 after another and you will notice. PTB is miles better.
Raspstrike The instruments are quieter in the live version, where the metal sounds are more noticeable in the chase section. This is actually more akin to SH2, whereas this is close to SH1
Omg, something that I just thought of that would be cool that I feel like nobody has thought of is custom sacrifice music for survivors. Bill popped into my head immediately. When he dies, the L4D game over music could play as he ascends into the sky. That would be really cool to implement also!
Out of all the unique chase themes, this one is definitely my absolute favourite (even if the in-game one is a bit different/heavier), Doctor's one a close second. I don't know what it is about this chase theme, but i find it calming for some reason, even the really intense parts when in chase
I feel like they absolutely nailed this terror radius theme. Honestly, I feel like a lot of the others just don't quite hit the mark like Billy and now Clown. They're not really scary. They're silly. They're still kind of fitting for the character, but nothing special or creepy. I even find Clown's a bit annoying. Love this one and Deathslinger, though! They got those down!
Clown I understand, but I honestly really like Billy’s TR and chase music. Especially that riff at the start of it. It is very intense, and that’s perfect for when it goes from nothing to him being right next to you from chainsaw sprinting. Sucks that it’s hard to hear it because most Billy’s use Tinkerer.
I hope there will be a way similar to the shape to have a no terror radius pyramid head, cuz that'll really jump scare city, think about it running through the school doing a gen not hearing anything to suddenly hearing the scraping sound over the gaint knife behind you
Would be somewhat cool if the chase music started as this version and changed to the live version when a survivor in chase gets injured (ie chase just got more intense). I really like both and feel like this one just got the axe for no good reason.
Got back into dbd just a few days ago and bought pyramid head, the chase music is an absolute banger, probably gonna main him for the song alone, if not then one of my top 3 killers without a doubt
I feel like in-game music should be a mixture of this and the live version. Eg: 0:40 = Distant (The in game sounds a bit boring) 1:20 = Near Proximity and Chase music for the survivors are the current Live versions The killer hears 1:58 since it sounds a lot more controlled than the Live version, like what the killer might be thinking
I love how the 1st game's theme is referenced in the stage right before the chase. It's also a little reminiscent of how Theme Of Laura refrenced the 1st game.
@@domoallcaps Wait that's awesome! I hope he continues to make more music for video games, I still to this day listen to all the Silent Hill soundtracks consistently.
@@zerotodona1495 I think what they meant is the PTB chase music is different from PH's live chase music. They're close but have very obvious differences. Not using the legitimate music from SH. Look up the PTB chase music and live chase music. You'll hear a big difference, mainly the cowbell clanking is gone completely from live PH chase.
